In this work, we consider a thermoelastic laminated beam with structural damping, where the heat flux is given by Green and Naghdi theories. We establish the well-posedness of the system using semigroup theory. Moreover, under the condition of equal wave speeds, we prove an exponential stability result for the considered system. In the case of lack of exponential stability we show that the solution decays polynomially.

This paper presents a new iterative algorithm for approximating the fixed points of multivalued generalized \(\alpha\)–nonexpansive mappings. We study the stability result of our new iterative algorithm for a larger concept of stability known as weak \(w^2\)–stability. Weak and strong convergence results of the proposed iterative algorithm are also established. Furthermore, we show numerically that our new iterative algorithm outperforms several known iterative algorithms for multivalued generalized \(\alpha\)–nonexpansive mappings. Again, as an application, we use our proposed iterative algorithm to find the solution of nonlinear Volterra delay integro-differential equations. Finally, we provide an illustrative example to validate the mild conditions used in the result of the application part of this study. Our results improve, generalize and unify several results in the existing literature.

We study some spectral and numerical properties of the solutions to a thermoelastic problem with double porosity. The model includes Cattaneo-type evolution law for the heat flux to remove the physical paradox of infinite propagation speed of the classical Fourier’s law. Firstly, we prove that the operator determined by the considered problem has compact resolvent and generates a C 0 -semigroup in an appropriate Hilbert space. We also show that there is a sequence of generalized eigenfunctions of the linear operator that forms a Riesz basis. By a detailed spectral analysis, we obtain the expressions of the spectrum and we deduce that the spectrum determined growth condition holds. Therefore we prove that the energy of the considered problem decays exponentially to a rate determined explicitly by the physical parameters. Finally, some numerical simulations based on Chebyshev spectral method for spatial discretization are given to confirm the exponential stability result and to show the distribution of the eigenvalues and the variables of the problem.

We prove the stability of the ball as global minimizer of an attractive shape functional under volume constraint, by means of mass transportation arguments. The stability exponent is $1/2$ and it is sharp. Moreover, we use such stability result together with the quantitative (possibly fractional) isoperimetric inequality to prove that the ball is a global minimizer of a shape functional involving both an attractive and a repulsive term with a sufficiently large fixed volume and with a suitable (possibly fractional) perimeter penalization.

Abstract In this article, we consider a Lamé system with a delay term in the internal fractional feedback. We show the existence and uniqueness of solutions by means of the semigroup theory under a certain condition between the weight of the delay term in the fractional feedback and the weight of the term without delay. Furthermore, we show the exponential stability by the classical theorem of Gearhart, Huang and Pruss.

Abstract In this paper, we derive a stability result for L 1 {L_{1}} and L ∞ {L_{\infty}} perturbations of diffusions under weak regularity conditions on the coefficients. In particular, the drift terms we consider can be unbounded with at most linear growth, and the estimates reflect the transport of the initial condition by the unbounded drift through the corresponding flow. Our approach is based on the study of the distance in L 1 {L_{1}} - L 1 {L_{1}} metric between the transition densities of a given diffusion and the perturbed one using the McKean–Singer parametrix expansion. In the second part, we generalize the well-known result on the stability of diffusions with bounded coefficients to the case of at most linearly growing drift.

This paper we consider a study of a general class of nonlinear singular fractional DEs with p-Laplacian for the existence and uniqueness solution and the Hyers-Ulam (HU) stability. result via ϕ−Hilfer derivative is studied. Then, an existence of one solution is investigated. Some illustrative examples are discussed at the end.
