Abstract Two qubit density matrices which are of X-shape, are a natural generalization of Bell Diagonal States (BDSs) recently simulated on the IBM quantum device. We generalize the previous results and propose a quantum circuit for simulation of a general two qubit X-state, implement it on the same quantum device, and study its entanglement for several values of the extended parameter space. We also show that their X-shape is approximately robust against noisy quantum gates. To further physically motivate this study, we invoke the two-spin Heisenberg XYZ system and show that for a wide class of initial states, it leads to dynamical density matrices which are X-states. Due to the symmetries of this Hamiltonian, we show that by only two qubits, one can simulate the dynamics of this system on the IBM quantum computer.

The interaction between two spatially separated systems is of strong interest in order to study a wide class of unconventional effects at cryogenic temperatures. Here we report on drag transverse voltage effects in multilayered systems containing superconducting and ferromagnetic materials. The sample under test is a conventional superconductor/insulator/ferromagnet (S/I/F) trilayer in a cross configuration. S/F as well as S/N (here N stands for normal metal) bilayers in the same geometry are also analyzed for comparison. Current–voltage (I–V) characteristics measured at T = 4.2 K in the presence of a perpendicular magnetic field show strong peculiarities related to the interaction between the layers. The results are interpreted in terms of interaction effects between the layers.

In the first part of the paper, we construct the models of the complete non-arbitrage financial markets for a wide class of evolutions of risky assets. This construction is based on the observation that for a certain class of risky as set evolutions the martingale measure is invariant with respect to these evolutions. For such a financial market model the only martingale measure being equivalent to an initial measure is built. On such a financial market, formulas for the fair price of contingent liabilities are presented. A multi-parameter model of the financial market is proposed, the martingale measure of which does not depend on the parameters of the model of the evolution of risky assets and is the only one.

In this paper we analyse the global dynamical behaviour of some classical models in the plane. Informally speaking we prove that the folkloric criteria based on the relative positions of the nullclines for Lotka–Volterra systems are also valid in a wide class of discrete systems. The method of proof consists of dividing the plane into suitable positively invariant regions and applying the theory of translation arcs in a subtle manner. Our approach allows us to extend several results of the theory of monotone systems to nonmonotone systems. Applications in models with weak Allee effect, population models for pioneer-climax species, and predator–prey systems are given.

For the example of one nonlinear mathematical model in food engineering with several equilibria and stochastic perturbations, a simple criterion for determining a stable or unstable equilibrium is reported. The obtained analytical results are illustrated by detailed numerical simulations of solutions of the considered Ito stochastic differential equations. The proposed criterion can be used for a wide class of nonlinear mathematical models in different applications.

The asymptotic behavior of the residual lifetime of the system and its characteristics are studied for the main distributions of reliability theory. Sufficiently precise and simple conditions for the domain of attraction of the exponential distribution are proposed, which are applicable for a wide class of distributions. This approach allows us to take into account important information about modeling the failure-free operation of equipment that has worked reliably for a long time. An analysis of the domain of attraction for popular distributions with “heavy tails” is given.

Abstract A properly scaled critical Galton–Watson process converges to a continuous state critical branching process ξ ⁢ ( ⋅ ) \xi(\,{\cdot}\,) as the number of initial individuals tends to infinity. We extend this classical result by allowing for overlapping generations and considering a wide class of population counts. The main result of the paper establishes a convergence of the finite-dimensional distributions for a scaled vector of multiple population counts. The set of the limiting distributions is conveniently represented in terms of integrals ( ∫ 0 y ξ ⁢ ( y - u ) ⁢ d u γ \int_{0}^{y}\xi(y-u)\,du^{\gamma} , y ≥ 0 y\geq 0 ) with a pertinent γ ≥ 0 \gamma\geq 0 .

Abstract This paper demonstrates that abessive PPs impose the same type of definiteness restriction on their complements that existential predicates impose on their subjects. The DE in PPs is accounted for in the framework of the DE theory of Szabolcsi (1986a,b), who derives the DE from the incompatibility of a presuppositional subject and a logical predicate of existence that is present in a wide class of predicates (including verbs meaning ‘(cause to) come to exist in a particular fashion’, and nominal predicates meaning ‘(non-)existence at a particular location’). The analysis points out this predicate of existence in the small clause complements of abessive Ps.

Abstract This paper considers an approach that demonstrates the features of creating complex electrodynamic systems. In practice, the creation of such objects is associated with a decrease in the levels of electromagnetic radiation, control of the direction of propagation of electromagnetic waves. The main properties of the generated automated system for assessing the quality of the electrodynamic characteristics of objects are considered. Suggestions are given on its structural diagram, the contours of the operation control and control of the restructuring of electrodynamic objects are shown. The created system for assessing the quality of electrodynamic characteristics can be useful in the design of a wide class of technical systems.
