This paper studies a fractional-order chaotic system with sine non-linearities and highlights its dynamics using the Lyapunov spectrum, bifurcation analysis, stagnation points, the solution of the system, the impact of the fractional order on the system, etc. The system considering uncertainties and disturbances was synchronized using dual penta-compound combination anti-synchronization among four master systems and twenty slave systems by non-linear control and the adaptive sliding mode technique. The estimates of the disturbances and uncertainties were also obtained using the sliding mode technique. The application of the achieved synchronization in secure communication is illustrated with the help of an example.

AbstractThe aim of this paper is to introduce and analyze a novel fractional chaotic system including quadratic and cubic nonlinearities. We take into account the Caputo derivative for the fractional model and study the stability of the equilibrium points by the fractional Routh–Hurwitz criteria. We also utilize an efficient nonstandard finite difference (NSFD) scheme to implement the new model and investigate its chaotic behavior in both time-domain and phase-plane. According to the obtained results, we find that the new model portrays both chaotic and nonchaotic behaviors for different values of the fractional order, so that the lowest order in which the system remains chaotic is found via the numerical simulations. Afterward, a nonidentical synchronization is applied between the presented model and the fractional Volta equations using an active control technique. The numerical simulations of the master, the slave, and the error dynamics using the NSFD scheme are plotted showing that the synchronization is achieved properly, an outcome which confirms the effectiveness of the proposed active control strategy.

This paper presents a modified chaotic system under the fractional operator with singularity. The aim of the present subject will be to focus on the influence of the new model’s parameters and its fractional order using the bifurcation diagrams and the Lyapunov exponents. The new fractional model will generate chaotic behaviors. The Lyapunov exponents’ theories in fractional context will be used for the characterization of the chaotic behaviors. In a fractional context, the phase portraits will be obtained with a predictor-corrector numerical scheme method. The details of the numerical scheme will be presented in this paper. The numerical scheme will be used to analyze all the properties addressed in this present paper. The Matignon criterion will also play a fundamental role in the local stability of the presented model’s equilibrium points. We will find a threshold under which the stability will be removed and the chaotic and hyperchaotic behaviors will be generated. An adaptative control will be proposed to correct the instability of the equilibrium points of the model. Sensitive to the initial conditions, we will analyze the influence of the initial conditions on our fractional chaotic system. The coexisting attractors will also be provided for illustrations of the influence of the initial conditions.

This study introduces a novel 3-D fractional chaotic system with two quadratic terms and no equilibrium point. Thorough dynamical analysis of the introduced system is done studying Lyapunov dynamics with respect to fractional order and parameter value, Kaplan–Yorke dimension, bifurcation analysis, phase portraits, existence, and uniqueness of solution, dissipative and symmetric character, etc. The novel system is anti-synchronized using the novel technique ‘triple compound combination’ considering uncertainties and disturbances on a parallel system by two methods—nonlinear and adaptive sliding mode control. A proposed application of achieved synchronization in secure communication is presented. A comparative study of obtained results with published literature is also presented.
