The article presents an active bridge system that enables the solution of a significant problem consisting in ensuring correct indications of temperature values in a wide measuring range for a Pt100 temperature sensor with properties defined by the standard (EN-60751 + A2). The presented active bridge system combines the properties of the measuring amplifier with the stabilization of the current value in the branch in which the Pt100 sensor was placed. The article focuses on the comparison of the temperature measurement in a typical resistance bridge and the measurement made in the developed active bridge, which has also become the subject of a patent. For the performed tests, in which the correctness of the temperature measurement system operation was verified, and on the basis of the obtained results, the quality of temperature measurements was compared in a wide range of changes.

Abstract In this paper, an automatic calibration device for multi-channel resistance strain gauge indicator is designed and its applicability and measurement accuracy are verified at laboratory. The calibration done by original resistance bridge calibrator is time-consuming for its manual operation and complex calibration process. With the intent to increase calibration efficiency, an automatic channel switch device was developed, and the resistance bridge calibrator was automated. The designed calibration device is completely computer controlled enabling a sequence of unmanned measurements. The calibration device was verified at laboratory that the maximum of error is 0.072%. It was applied to calibrate a 60-channel resistance strain gage indicator to approve its practical applicability. The result shows that the designed calibration device can realize automatic calibration and the efficiency is increased by 40%.

The transport properties of two different Si2Li clustersadsorption structures (bridge-site type and apex-site type) between two semi-infinite Au(100)-3×3 electrodes have been studied using the first-principles based on density functional theory (DFT) and non-equilibrium Green’s function (NEGF) in this paper. The I-V curves of both systems are linear and show up the properties of metal resistance. Bridge-site type shows better electron transport capacity due to more transferring charge between cluster and electrodes. The conductance change of the two systems becomes completely different due to the drift of the energy level under bias, which is no longer dependent to the transfer of charge.
