The propagation of a partially Lorentz–Gauss beam in a uniform-intensity diffractive axicon is studied according to the Huygens–Fresnel principle, the Hermite–Gaussian expansion of a Lorentz function, and using the stationary phase method. We have derived the intensity equation of a partially coherent Lorentz-Gauss beams propagating through uniform-intensity diffractive axicon, and we proved mathematically that it is the superposition of Bessel beams of various orders after emerging from axicon, using Hermite’s function series and the Bessel function integral formulas. The results show that the intensity distribution of the diffracted beam is the intensity pattern evolved from a Lorentz–Gauss shaped spot into a Gaussian-shaped spot at any position on the focal length of the axicon, and the intensity distribution of a partially Lorentz–Gauss beam generated by an axicon becomes uniform by increasing the beam width and more uniform and constant with the larger coherence width.

AbstractWe introduce a derived representation scheme associated with a quiver, which may be thought of as a derived version of a Nakajima variety. We exhibit an explicit model for the derived representation scheme as a Koszul complex and by doing so we show that it has vanishing higher homology if and only if the moment map defining the corresponding Nakajima variety is flat. In this case we prove a comparison theorem relating isotypical components of the representation scheme to equivariant K-theoretic classes of tautological bundles on the Nakajima variety. As a corollary of this result we obtain some integral formulas present in the mathematical and physical literature since a few years, such as the formula for Nekrasov partition function for the moduli space of framed instantons on $$S^4$$ S 4 . On the technical side we extend the theory of relative derived representation schemes by introducing derived partial character schemes associated with reductive subgroups of the general linear group and constructing an equivariant version of the derived representation functor for algebras with a rational action of an algebraic torus.

In the paper, motivated by the generating function of the Catalan numbers in combinatorial number theory and with the aid of Cauchy’s integral formula in complex analysis, the authors generalize the Catalan numbers and its generating function, establish an explicit formula and an integral representation for the generalization of the Catalan numbers and corresponding generating function, and derive several integral formulas and combinatorial identities.

Here, we ascertain generalized integral formulas concerning the product of the generalized Mittag-Leffler function. These integral formulas are described in the form of the generalized Lauricella series. Some special cases are also presented in terms of the Wright hypergeometric function.

AbstractOur aim is to study and investigate the family of $(p, q)$ ( p , q ) -extended (incomplete and complete) elliptic-type integrals for which the usual properties and representations of various known results of the (classical) elliptic integrals are extended in a simple manner. This family of elliptic-type integrals involves a number of special cases and has a connection with $(p, q)$ ( p , q ) -extended Gauss’ hypergeometric function and $(p, q)$ ( p , q ) -extended Appell’s double hypergeometric function $F_{1}$ F 1 . Turán-type inequalities including log-convexity properties are proved for these $(p, q)$ ( p , q ) -extended complete elliptic-type integrals. Further, we establish various Mellin transform formulas and obtain certain infinite series representations containing Laguerre polynomials. We also obtain some relationship between these $(p, q)$ ( p , q ) -extended elliptic-type integrals and Meijer G-function of two variables. Moreover, we obtain several connections with $(p, q)$ ( p , q ) -extended beta function as special values and deduce numerous differential and integral formulas. In conclusion, we introduce $(p, q)$ ( p , q ) -extension of the Epstein–Hubbell (E-H) elliptic-type integral.

Abstract This paper aims to fast and robustly estimate the fractional integrals and derivatives of positions from noisy accelerations for a class of fractional order vibration systems defined by the Caputo fractional derivative. The main idea is to convert the original issue into the estimation of the fractional integrals of accelerations and the ones of the unknown initial conditions, on the basis of the additive index law. Being proper integrals, the fractional integrals of accelerations can be estimated via a numerical method. Consequently, solving the original problem boils down to estimating the unknown initial values. To this end, the modulating functions method is adopted. By constructing appropriate modulating functions, the unknown initial values are exactly given in terms of algebraic integral formulas in different situations. Finally, two illustrations are presented to verify the correctness and robustness of the proposed estimators.

In this article, we prove integral formulas for a Riemannian manifold equipped with a foliation F and a unit vector field N orthogonal to F, and generalize known integral formulas (due to Brito-Langevin-Rosenberg and Andrzejewski-Walczak) for foliations of codimension one. Our integral formulas involve Newton transformations of the shape operator of F with respect to N and the curvature tensor of the induced connection on the distribution D=TF⊕span(N), and this decomposition of D can be regarded as a codimension-one foliation of a sub-Riemannian manifold. We apply our formulas to foliated (sub-)Riemannian manifolds with restrictions on the curvature and extrinsic geometry of the foliation.

A remarkably large number of unified integrals involving the Mittag–Leffler function have been presented. Here, with the same technique as Choi and Agarwal, we propose the establishment of two generalized integral formulas involving a multivariate generalized Mittag–Leffler function, which are expressed in terms of the generalized Lauricella series due to Srivastava and Daoust. We also present some interesting special cases.

he modules of logarithmic derivations for the (extended) Catalan and Shi arrangements associated with root systems are known to be free. However, except for a few cases, explicit bases for such modules are not known. In this paper, we construct explicit bases for type A root systems. Our construction is based on Bandlow-Musiker's integral formula for a basis of the space of quasiinvariants. The integral formula can be considered as an expression for the inverse of the primitive derivation introduced by K. Saito. We prove that the discrete analogues of the integral formulas provide bases for Catalan and Shi arrangements.
