Problems Of Informatization Of Management Of Agricultural Industry And Modeling Of Agriconomic System In A Market Economy

The article describes the importance and relevance of macroeconomic modeling in the development of economic sectors. The problems of applying the methods of macroeconomic modeling (both optimization and simulation) in the practice of planning and managing the national economy are analyzed.

Nem-szokványos gazdaságpolitikai intézkedések figyelembevétele a nemzetgazdasági modellezésben = Incorporating Non-Conventional Economic Policy Measures into Macroeconomic Modeling

A nagy pénzügyi válság és a koronavírus-válság kezdete óta sok kormány és az EU maga is számos nem szokványos gazdaságpolitikai intézkedés alkalmazására kényszerült. A cikk először megkísérli tisztázni ezen „nem-szokványos” illetve „unortodox” gazdaságpolitikák mibenlétét, majd azt vizsgálja, hogy az ilyen gazdaságpolitikák hogyan tükröződnek az állami kiadások és bevételek sajátos szerkezetében. Az adónemek nagy száma, valamint a sok ágazatspecifikus adó, adókedvezmény, támogatás már önmagában is utalhat a gazdaságpolitika nem-szokványos jellegére. Az ilyen politikák modellezése kihívást jelentő feladat, részben azért, mert ezek a politikák sok rejtett adót és támogatást alkalmaznak a kereszttámogatásoktól és más, az árakat torzító intézkedésektől - például monopóliumok létrehozásától – kezdve egészen a szabályozókedvezményekig és adósságleírásokig. A magyar esetben az élsportra, az egyházakra, a kormány üzeneteit közvetítő médiára, a határon túli magyarokra, valamint a kormányhoz közeli vállalkozók és külföldi befektetők tulajdonában lévő nagyvállalatok beruházásainak támogatására fordított kiadások magas aránya is tanúskodik az unortodox gazdaságpolitika erős újraelosztó és társadalomátalakító szándékáról. A magyar gazdaságpolitika számos intézkedésének felsorolása és csoportosítása, valamint azok speciális, néha egyedi mechanizmusainak megvilágítása után a cikk felvázolja, hogyan lehet ezeket a mechanizmusokat ábrázolni egy számszerűsíthető általános egyensúlyi modellben

Forming COVID-19 Policy Under Uncertainty

This paper presents my thinking and concerns about formation of COVID-19 policy. Policy formation must cope with substantial uncertainties about the nature of the disease, the dynamics of transmission, and behavioral responses. Data uncertainties limit our knowledge of the past trajectory and current state of the pandemic. Data and modeling uncertainties limit our ability to predict the impacts of alternative policies. I explain why current epidemiological and macroeconomic modeling cannot deliver realistically optimal policy. I describe my recent work quantifying basic data uncertainties that make policy analysis difficult. I discuss approaches for policy choice under uncertainty and suggest adaptive policy diversification.

Review of the Third Annual Conference of Journals Consortium at MSU Faculty of Economics

The article is devoted to a review of the Third Annual Conference of Journals consortium at MSU Faculty of Economics, which took place on October 23, 2019. The purpose of this conference was to discuss a wide range of issues relevant to economic science, including issues of state scientific policy, methodology of economics, digital and sectoral economics, macroeconomic modeling and sustainable development, demography and labor economics. The article provides brief information about the previous conferences, considers key ideas of the plenary session and gives an overview of thematic sections.
