High driving efficiency remains challenging in autonomous electric vehicles, especially in small electric vehicle subtype. Here, we reported investigation of the structure and requirements of the drive system for those vehicles, while the motor-drive axle combined integrated driving scheme has been chosen. In the study, the power matching of drive motor as well as transmission ratio has been calculated based on the performance of the small electric vehicles, and the total gear ratio of 8.124 was determined. For better comprehensive performance and efficiency, the two-stage retarder has been designed, in which elements including high-speed shaft, low-speed shaft, gears, and differential have been examined to ensure their proof strength when the motor outputs reached the maximum torque. Notably, by utilizing topology optimization, Gear 4, the transmission unit with the heaviest weight percentage has been modified in a lightweight way, achieving a 41% reduction of the mass in emulation analysis and turned up to the target of optimization eventually.

In this paper, a super wide band (SWB) Vivaldi antenna has been proposed for lower 5G bands in Sub-6 GHz and satellite applications (S, C, X, Ku, and K band) using various performance improvement techniques. In the presented Vivaldi antenna, different slots are applied not only to increase the gain and directivity but also to get operating frequency at the intended specific frequency range. All dimensions of those slots were chosen by using the sweep parameter method. Ten corrugated side slots, two circular slots, and one via have been used to enhance the performance especially bandwidth and gain of the antenna. At the edge of wireless communication, we want to enhance two key aspects within the communication systems: the quality of service and the cost. The proposed antenna incorporates a simple structure and small size with dimensions of 45 × 35 × 0.79 mm3. Thus, after design, optimization, and simulation, the antenna produces a good reflection coefficient over the very large operating bandwidth of 23.19 GHz, 1 < VSWR < 2, maximum gain of 10.2 dBi, and average radiation efficiency of above 90%, which can be recommended as a suitable antenna for lower 5G as well as satellite applications. The antenna is designed, simulated, and analyzed by using computer simulation technology microwave studio (CST-MWS). Finally, the performance of the Vivaldi antenna has been validated by FEKO and HFSS software, and we achieved a very good matching among the results.

Abstract The main objective of this paper is to design a hybrid power system for continuous power supply in the institute campus nit Kurukshetra in an economical way to replace the external grid power system. In this paper solar photovoltaic Fuel cell battery hybrid system has been studied. Costing, sizing, optimization, and simulation were done using the software homer pro. The Levelized Cost of electricity (COE) is Rs. 11.12 per KW is obtained and the system is based on renewable energy sources so it sustainably generates electricity.

This research presents a design optimization of a solar adsorption ice plant using activated carbon and methanol as working pairs in the climate of Makkah to produce a ton of ice per day. The plant consists of six adsorption refrigeration units. Each unit has 72 separate cylindrical adsorbent beds connected with its own condenser, valve, and evaporator. The unit is heated by seven evacuated-tube collectors connected in parallel. Then the total number of collectors are 42 collectors. The beds are filled by estimated amount of 540 kg of activated carbon with 178 kg of methanol. Selection and dimensioning of each component were carried out based on previous recommended values. A mathematical model and simulation were developed to validate the system performance along the year. The results showed that plant could produce up to ton of ice daily along the year. The coefficient of performance can reach 0.9 with condenser and evaporator temperatures of 35°C and -5°C respectively. The performance of the system is greatly affected by ambient temperature than solar radiation. Therefore, the best performance and largest amount of ice was found in the winter season.

This paper designs and implements an intelligent online reading platform based on wireless sensor network. The platform adopts SSM framework based on Spring architecture as the cornerstone and is oriented to ordinary users and teachers and students. Ordinary users can carry out normal online reading on the platform, and teachers and students can carry out auxiliary reading teaching on the platform. The online reading platform is an interactive reading platform system integrating online reading, EPub resource generation and management, and user reading data statistics. The whole platform is composed of registration and login module, online reading module, EPub e-book generation module, and reading data report module. Spring, Spring MVC, and Mybatis framework are used to achieve hierarchical solution and improve development efficiency. For the problems that may occur in the process of EPub generation, an intelligent EPub generation mechanism is designed and implemented to achieve intelligent error correction and improve the stability of EPub generation. Platform design and implementation of a reading data report generation system can be in the background of the report generation and download. In addition, the random extraction problem in platform business is also analyzed, the problem model is established, and the database random extraction scheme commonly used in the industry is studied. The application of wireless sensor for reading aid is less and mostly stays in theory. Based on the traditional intelligent clustering system, the system is designed to improve the system scalability and provide a feasible literature assisted reading scheme while ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of the system.
