The Wasserstein distance, especially among symmetric positive-definite matrices, has broad and deep influences on the development of artificial intelligence (AI) and other branches of computer science. In this paper, by involving the Wasserstein metric on SPD(n), we obtain computationally feasible expressions for some geometric quantities, including geodesics, exponential maps, the Riemannian connection, Jacobi fields and curvatures, particularly the scalar curvature. Furthermore, we discuss the behavior of geodesics and prove that the manifold is globally geodesic convex. Finally, we design algorithms for point cloud denoising and edge detecting of a polluted image based on the Wasserstein curvature on SPD(n). The experimental results show the efficiency and robustness of our curvature-based methods.

In the present paper, I studied different types of Curvature like Riemannian Curvature, Concircular Curvature, Weyl Curvature, and Projective Curvature in Quarter Symmetric non-Metric Connection in P-Sasakian manifold. A comparative study of a manifold with a Riemannian connection is done with a P-Sasakian Manifold. Conditions for vanishing for different types of curvature are also a part of the study. Some necessary properties of the Hessian operator are discussed with respect to all curvatures as well.

We consider a four-dimensional Riemannian manifold M with an additional structure S, whose fourth power is minus identity. In a local coordinate system the components of the metric g and the structure S form skew-circulant matrices. Both structures S and g are compatible, such that an isometry is induced in every tangent space of M. By a special identity for the curvature tensor, generated by the Riemannian connection of g, we determine classes of Einstein and almost Einstein manifolds. For such manifolds we obtain propositions for the sectional curvatures of some characteristic 2-planes in a tangent space of M. We consider a Hermitian manifold associated with the studied manifold and find conditions for g, under which it is a K\"{a}hler manifold. We construct some examples of the considered manifolds on Lie groups.

We consider a four-dimensional Riemannian manifold M equipped with an additional tensor structure S, whose fourth power is minus identity and the second power is an almost complex structure. In a local coordinate system the components of the metric g and the structure S form skew-circulant matrices. Both structures S and g are compatible, such that an isometry is induced in every tangent space of M. By a special identity for the curvature tensor, generated by the Riemannian connection of g, we determine classes of an Einstein manifolds and an almost Einstein manifolds. For such manifolds we obtain propositions for the sectional curvatures of some special 2-planes in a tangent space of M. We consider an almost Hermitian manifold associated with the studied manifold and find conditions for g, under which it is a Kähler manifold. We construct some examples of the considered manifolds on Lie groups.

We consider the Faddeev formulation of general relativity (GR), which can be characterized by a kind of d-dimensional tetrad (typically d = 10) and a non-Riemannian connection. This theory is invariant w.r.t. the global, but not local, rotations in the d-dimensional space. There can be configurations with a smooth or flat metric, but with the tetrad that changes abruptly at small distances, a kind of “antiferromagnetic” structure. Previously, we discussed a first-order representation for the Faddeev gravity, which uses the orthogonal connection in the d-dimensional space as an independent variable. Using the discrete form of this formulation, we considered the spectrum of (elementary) area. This spectrum turns out to be physically reasonable just on a classical background with large connection like rotations by [Formula: see text], that is, with such an “antiferromagnetic” structure. In the discrete first-order Faddeev gravity, we consider such a structure with periodic cells and large connection and strongly changing tetrad field inside the cell. We show that this system in the continuum limit reduces to a generalization of the Faddeev system. The action is a sum of related actions of the Faddeev type and is still reduced to the GR action.

The notion of a parallelizable distribution has been introduced and investigated. A non-integrable parallelizable distribution carries a natural sub-Riemannian structure. The geometry of this structure has been studied from the bi-viewpoint of absolute parallelism geometry and sub-Riemannian geometry. Two remarkable linear connections have been constructed on a sub-Riemannian parallelizable distribution, namely, the Weitzenböck connection and the sub-Riemannian connection. The obtained results have been applied to two concrete examples: the spheres [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text].

We obtained the relation between the Riemannian connection and the quarter-symmetric metric connection on a para-Sasakian manifold. Further, we study ϕ-recurrent and concircular ϕ-recurrent para-Sasakian manifolds with respect to quarter-symmetric metric connection.

A new exact solution describing a general stationary and axisymmetric object of the gravitational field in the framework of teleparallel equivalent of general relativity (TEGR) is derived. The solution is characterized by three parameters “the gravitational massM, the rotationa, and the NUTL.” The vierbein field is axially symmetric, and the associated metric gives the Kerr-Taub-NUT spacetime. Calculation of the total energy using two different methods, the gravitational energy momentum and the Riemannian connection 1-formΓα̃β, is carried out. It is shown that the two methods give the same results of energy and momentum. The value of energy is shown to depend on the massMand the NUT parameterL. IfLis vanishing, then the total energy reduced to the energy of Kerr black hole.
