Co-crystals are defined as crystalline complexes of two or more neutral molecular constituents bound together in the crystal lattice through non covalent interactions. This article summarized about the co-crystal definition, its importance along with characterizations and screening and production methods. From the literature survey, it can be concluded that improvement of performance characteristics of APIs using co-crystallization is a shows potential approach. One of the key aspects of this technique is that it can be useful to all APIs affliction from poor aqueous solubility.  Co-crystallization moves toward is flourishing now adays due to its immaculate effect of solubility on poorly dissolvable drugs, especially those having weakly ionisable group and neutral compounds. Meanwhile co-crystallization will also put an effort into upgrading of other physicochemical properties of drugs such as chemical stability, flowability etc. Keywords: Co-crystals, characteristics, screening, productions, solubility

AbstractSilver cyanide can be treated with liquid amines or azaaromaticsLto give crystalline complexes of various compositions, among them complexes of the simple type cyanido(amine)silver(I):L=isobutylamine and 4-picoline. Other AgCN:Lratios obtained were: 1:2 (benzylamine and 4-benzylpiperidine), 2:1 (2,4-lutidine), 2:3 (morpholine and 3,4-lutidine) and 3:4 (3,5-lutidine). The packing diagrams were analyzed in terms of Ag–Ag and Ag–CN contacts and N–H···N hydrogen bonds. The contacts often give rise to chains, which are sometimes linked to layers by hydrogen bonds.

The article presents the first U-Pb data on the age of detrital zircons from clastic sediments of Rumyanichnaya Formation included in Barma Group which constitutes the lowest outcropped part of the Precambrian sequence of the Northern Timan. Age data (LA-ICP-MS) for 94 zircon grains from fine-grained aleuritic sandstone cover the range of 981–2582 Ma. Weighted average age of the two youngest zircons yields the age of 983±40 Ma which provides grounds to assume that sediment deposition took place in Late Riphean (Neoproterozoic). The accumulation of clastic sediments that compose the all three formations of Barma Group (~5 km thick) was controlled mostly with terrigenous material from eroded rock complexes coeval with crystalline complexes of Fennoscandia and Central Russian Belt.

The article presents the first U–Pb data on the age of detrital zircons from clastic sediments of Yambozero Formation (Barmin Group) which constitutes the upper part of the Precambrian sequence of the Northern Timan. Age data for 80 zircon grains (LA-ICP-MS) cover the range of 989–2713 Ma. Weighted average age of the three youngest zircons yields the age of 1004±15 Ma which provides grounds to assume that sediment deposition took place in late Riphean (Neoproterozoic). The accumulation of clastic sediments of Yambozero Formation was controlled mostly with terrigenous material from eroded rock complexes coeval with crystalline complexes of Fennoscandia and Central Russian Belt.

Sulfamethazine (SMT) can form either 1 : 1 salt or 1 : 1 cocrystal with saccharin (SAC). The two crystalline complexes possess the same main intermolecular interaction site except the locations of the acidic proton are different.

The characterization of non-crystalline complexes is very difficult when techniques like X-ray diffraction or NMR are not available. We propose a simple procedure to characterize the physicochemical properties of amorphous new coordination compounds between cyclodextrins (CD) and Cu2+ salts, by several techniques as TGA, FT-IR, EPR.
