We report a case of a 56-year-old man with persistent right upper lobe cavitary mass. A chest computed tomography scan showed about 4-cm-sized mass with internal low attenuation and peripheral enhancement in right upper lobe apical segment. The lesion size increased over 1 month. Right upper lobectomy was performed with the intention to treat the lesion. Pathological examination showed primary pulmonary undifferentiated pleomorphic sarcoma. We describe this rare lung disease to remind that primary pulmonary undifferentiated pleomorphic sarcoma could be the differential diagnosis of pulmonary cavitary mass lesions.

The paper describes a clinical case of late diagnosis of malignant lung tumor with the development of skeletal and intracranial lymph node metastatic lesions. Right hip joint pain was the reason for seeking medical advice; coxitis was diagnosed. Weight loss, obvious blood inflammatory changes, and a long-term smoking history aim to find cancer. Further examination as multislice spiral computed tomography of the lungs and pelvic bones could establish a diagnosis.

Lung cancer is the most frequently diagnosed non-skin cancer and has a high mortality rate. Skin metastases that manifest as visceral malignancies are rare. Cutaneous metastasis from lung cancer has been observed in only 0.22%–12% of cases and is rarely the first manifestation of lung cancer. The histopathological features of metastases are occasionally difficult to distinguish from those of primary cutaneous tumors, despite the rigorous application of useful techniques, particularly immunohistochemistry. We report 3 asymptomatic cases of men who presented with solitary periumbilical, sacral, and scalp metastasis as the first manifestation of an underlying malignant lung tumor.

Pulmonary blastoma is a rare malignant lung tumor with aggressive behavior and dismal prognosis. It is extremely rare in children aged <18 years, and little is known about its genetic alteration and pathogenesis. Although surgical resection and adjuvant chemotherapy or radiotherapy have been applied in several cases, no standard treatment guidelines with sufficient evidence have been established. In this article, we report a case of a large pulmonary blastoma in a 7-year-old girl whose initial presentation was progressive dyspnea and productive cough. We subsequently present a review on cases involving young patients as well as genetic analysis data available in the literature.

Carcinoma of the lung is a malignant lung tumor characterized by uncontrolled cell growth in tissues of the lung. If left untreated, this growth can spread beyond the lung by process of metastasis into nearby tissue or other parts of the body. Various surgical modalities have been used with the treatment of lung cancer with variable results. We report a case of 80 years- old male admitted to National Institute of Chest Diseases and Hospital with dry cough for one month and chest pain for twenty days. On his physical examination there was no significant abnormality. Hematological and biochemical findings were also normal. In his CXR -P/A view showed a rounded opacity in the right lung field. It was diagnosed as a case of Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the right upper lobe of lung by a CT guided FNAC.  We had performed segmentectomy of the lesion on right upper lobe by a right sided thoracotomy. Histopathological report confirmed the diagnosis and showed that the excised margins were free of tumor invasion. Patient’s recovery was uneventful. Patient was discharged on 15th post operative day with advice for further follow up and also referred to Oncology Department for further management. In conclusion this was a case of carcinoma lung which was successfully managed by surgical intervention due to judicious suspicion adequate evaluation and measures in time.
