The paper presents the results of a study of factors affecting the thickness of transition (interface) layers in stressed InAs/GaSb superlattices during growth by MOCVD method. It is shown that the thicknesses of the interface layers between InAs and GaSb are practically independent of the growth temperature. The thickness of the interface layers is influenced by the direction of switching the layer growth. The smallest thickness of 1.2-1.4 nm of the interface layer InAs/GaSb was obtained for the direction of growth switching from GaSb to InAs.

Polymeric optical sheets are significant components in large-scale display devices and are difficult to fabricate due to small size and high accuracy of large-area microstructures. As a newly developed molding technique, injection-rolling is capable of continuously and efficiently achieving large-area microstructures on the polymer surface with short time and high replication. However, the microstructure-forming mechanism during the injection-rolling process has not been fully understood. In this paper, a three-dimensional steady-state heat-flow coupling simulation model of the injection-rolling zone was established to obtain the distributions of the polymer state transition interfaces. According to the state transition interfaces, the entire microstructure-forming process was numerically simulated by dividing into filling and embossing stages to systematically analyze the effects of the polymer state transition interface on filling rate. After this, the relationship between process parameters such as injection temperature, rolling speed, and roll temperature and polymer state transition interface was investigated to develop a position prediction model of the state transition interface. In addition, the optical sheet injection-rolling experiments were also carried out to reveal that the filling rate of the microstructures on the optical sheet can be affected by varying the positions of the state transition interfaces. Therefore, the microstructure-forming mechanism could be revealed as theoretical guidance for the subsequent injection-rolling production with high quality and high efficiency.

Abstract DNA predominantly contains Watson–Crick (WC) base pairs, but a non-negligible fraction of base pairs are in the Hoogsteen (HG) hydrogen bonding motif at any time. In HG, the purine is rotated ∼180° relative to the WC motif. The transitions between WC and HG may play a role in recognition and replication, but are difficult to investigate experimentally because they occur quickly, but only rarely. To gain insight into the mechanisms for this process, we performed transition path sampling simulations on a model nucleotide sequence in which an AT pair changes from WC to HG. This transition can occur in two ways, both starting with loss of hydrogen bonds in the base pair, followed by rotation around the glycosidic bond. In one route the adenine base converts from WC to HG geometry while remaining entirely within the double helix. The other route involves the adenine leaving the confines of the double helix and interacting with water. Our results indicate that this outside route is more probable. We used transition interface sampling to compute rate constants and relative free energies for the transitions between WC and HG. Our results agree with experiments, and provide highly detailed insights into the mechanisms of this important process.

This study aims to find choices and a significant indicator which changes preferences of the doors of traditional Structures. Within the scope of this study, we investigated how the preference of entries, which is a transition interface between the urban space and structures, is affected by determined variables. As a result of the regression analysis, the results showed that the critical variables that are preferred, invite a degree of mystery by the existing literature. However, unlike the research literature, the result shows that complexity is not adversely predictive or useful in liking in the selected case study. It has been found that the preferred doors and entrance interfaces have natural materials, harmonious colors, vernacular architectural features, and common structural elements such as steps and eaves.Keywords: Doors, Vernacular Structures, KaleicieISSN: 2398-4287 © 2019.
