This study aimed to examine the awareness and status of cancer patients and healthcare providers (physicians, nurses and social workers) regarding community linkage, in order to establish a desirable care plan model in a future research project. The survey was conducted via two methods: face-to-face for cancer patients (n = 308) and oncology physicians (n = 210), and due to COVID-19 circumstances, online for nurses (n = 200) and social workers (n = 313). As a result, more than 95% of the healthcare providers responded that cancer patients required community-linked services and discharge plans, whereas 50.7% and 79.2% of cancer patients noted the importance of community-linked services and discharge plans, respectively. Social workers, among healthcare providers, showed the most positive experience about connecting patients to community services since 69.7% of them responded as “excellent”. However, as a group, cancer patients considered the necessity of community-linked service as less important, as only 50.7% responded as agreeing it was necessary. The barriers to community linkage were the lack of communication among the different professions of healthcare providers, and the ambiguity in their roles. The findings of this study will inform future community-linked health research, policies and systems for cancer patients. In particular, an in-depth interview with cancer patients will be required to explore their lack of acknowledgment about the necessity of community-linked services. Therefore, this study is expected to contribute to the improvement and supplementation of cancer policies.

Value chain approach is popularly applied in economic researches in order to effectively bring out products to the market. This kind of method plays a meaningful role in stable and sustainable manufacture of products and services. Although the concept and approach of value chain have been used commonly in many economic branches, in the tourism area – a multi-service industry with high connections, this approach has not been widely applied. The value chain of tourism products is expressed in a journey in which tourists move within a number of linked services. These services can be (and are often) offered by different providers. Consequently, the value chain of tourism is different from other tangible products and is very important in the analysis to enhance the product value, to meet customers’ need and to promote benefits for all stakeholders. Through mentioning the approach to analyze the value chain and its potential application in the field of tourism, this article aims at introducing, considering and analyzing value chain as an effective approach in tourism development study. Applying value chain analyzing to tourism industry and activities will provide both generalized and specific vision of all direct and indirect subjects in order to enhance the quality, efficiency and added value of the tourism products/services and to promote the economic-social interest of all stakeholders.

Objectives: To describe the process and performance of reintegration and rehabilitation of women with Fistula through microcredit linked services in north-western region in Bangladesh. Introduction: Ad-din Social Financing for Community Health Development is a non profit microcredit system established in 1996. The program provides small capital and technical assistance for entrepreneurship development for its members, particularly women from underprivileged communities. Methods: 56 paramedics linked with Ad-din microcredit system were provided training on fistula case identification, referral, reintegration and rehabilitation. The paramedics identified fistula clients and conducted customized need assessments for their reintegration and rehabilitation services. This included liveihood skills training, financial assistance for fistula clients or their family members and mobilization of local institutions. Results: Out of 86 fistula clients identified by paramedics, 76 were in need of rehabilitation services and 12 were in need of reintegration support. Only three (4%) were covered by government safety net services. The program provided customized skill training to 43 fistula clients or family members. Three fistula clients were selected for food box drop at their place of residence.   Conclusions: Customized need assessment of reintegration and rehabilitation of fistula clients is effective for sustainable result. The field resources of a micro credit system, which is present in many settings with a fistula burden, can efficiently provide rehabilitation services to fistula clients.

Game, hunters and the forest seen in the perspective of the institutional framework (essay) Game and the forest are both natural resources. They interact through ecosystem services rendered by the forest (service supplier) to wildlife (service beneficiary). This service to the game resource influences other, more direct, forest services (e.g. wood, recreation, non-wood products),which benefit from the regulation of the game by the hunter. The action of hunting, in its turn, hinders the supply of other wildlife linked services, notably economic and symbolic (hunters), scientific (zoologists), artistic (painters) etc. cultural, even linked to identity (nature lovers, members of religious groups). This leads to rivalries between the two resources and to the putting in place of institutional frameworks to solve this conflict. This is the approach we use to discuss the three hunting regimes in place in Switzerland (concessions, licences, prohibition).
