AbstractIn this paper, we study even-order DEs where we deduce new conditions for nonexistence Kneser solutions for this type of DEs. Based on the nonexistence criteria of Kneser solutions, we establish the criteria for oscillation that take into account the effect of the delay argument, where to our knowledge all the previous results neglected the effect of the delay argument, so our results improve the previous results. The effectiveness of our new criteria is illustrated by examples.

AbstractIn this work, we create new oscillation conditions for solutions of second-order differential equations with continuous delay. The new criteria were created based on Riccati transformation technique and comparison principles. Furthermore, we obtain iterative criteria that can be applied even when the other criteria fail. The results obtained in this paper improve and extend the relevant previous results as illustrated by examples.

In our paper, we propose a single population Smith model with continuous delay and impulsive state feedback control. The application in pest management of this model is investigated. First, the singularity of this model is qualitatively analyzed; then, we consider the existence and uniqueness of order-one periodic orbit in order to determine the frequency of the implementation of chemical control. Moreover, based on the limit method of the sequences of subsequent points, we verify the stability of periodic orbit to ensure a certain robustness of this control; at last, we carry out the numerical simulations to verify the correctness of the theoretical results.

This paper studies continuous nonlinear economic dynamics with a continuous delay of a Kaldor type modified in dimension two. The important results are, on the one hand, the boundedness of solutions, the existence of an attractive set, and the permanence of the system and, on the other hand, the local and global stability of equilibrium points.
