A Family of Generalized Legendre-Based Apostol-Type Polynomials

Numerous polynomials, their extensions, and variations have been thoroughly explored, owing to their potential applications in a wide variety of research fields. The purpose of this work is to provide a unified family of Legendre-based generalized Apostol-Bernoulli, Apostol-Euler, and Apostol-Genocchi polynomials, with appropriate constraints for the Maclaurin series. Then we look at the formulae and identities that are involved, including an integral formula, differential formulas, addition formulas, implicit summation formulas, and general symmetry identities. We also provide an explicit representation for these new polynomials. Due to the generality of the findings given here, various formulae and identities for relatively simple polynomials and numbers, such as generalized Bernoulli, Euler, and Genocchi numbers and polynomials, are indicated to be deducible. Furthermore, we employ the umbral calculus theory to offer some additional formulae for these new polynomials.

Symmetric identity for polynomial sequences satisfying A′ n +1(x) = (n + 1)An (x)

Using umbral calculus, we establish a symmetric identity for any sequence of polynomials satisfying A′ n +1(x) = (n + 1)An (x) with A 0(x) a constant polynomial. This identity allows us to obtain in a simple way some known relations involving Apostol-Bernoulli polynomials, Apostol-Euler polynomials and generalized Bernoulli polynomials attached to a primitive Dirichlet character.

Representations of degenerate poly-Bernoulli polynomials

As is well known, poly-Bernoulli polynomials are defined in terms of polylogarithm functions. Recently, as degenerate versions of such functions and polynomials, degenerate polylogarithm functions were introduced and degenerate poly-Bernoulli polynomials were defined by means of the degenerate polylogarithm functions, and some of their properties were investigated. The aim of this paper is to further study some properties of the degenerate poly-Bernoulli polynomials by using three formulas coming from the recently developed ‘λ-umbral calculus’. In more detail, among other things, we represent the degenerate poly-Bernoulli polynomials by higher-order degenerate Bernoulli polynomials and by higher-order degenerate derangement polynomials.

Bell-Based Bernoulli Polynomials with Applications

In this paper, we consider Bell-based Stirling polynomials of the second kind and derive some useful relations and properties including some summation formulas related to the Bell polynomials and Stirling numbers of the second kind. Then, we introduce Bell-based Bernoulli polynomials of order α and investigate multifarious correlations and formulas including some summation formulas and derivative properties. Also, we acquire diverse implicit summation formulas and symmetric identities for Bell-based Bernoulli polynomials of order α. Moreover, we attain several interesting formulas of Bell-based Bernoulli polynomials of order α arising from umbral calculus.

Some Identities of the Degenerate Higher Order Derangement Polynomials and Numbers

Recently, Kim-Kim (J. Math. Anal. Appl. (2021), Vol. 493(1), 124521) introduced the λ-Sheffer sequence and the degenerate Sheffer sequence. In addition, Kim et al. (arXiv:2011.08535v1 17 November 2020) studied the degenerate derangement polynomials and numbers, and investigated some properties of those polynomials without using degenerate umbral calculus. In this paper, the y the degenerate derangement polynomials of order s (s∈N) and give a combinatorial meaning about higher order derangement numbers. In addition, the author gives some interesting identities related to the degenerate derangement polynomials of order s and special polynomials and numbers by using degenerate Sheffer sequences, and at the same time derive the inversion formulas of these identities.

Degenerate Catalan-Daehee numbers and polynomials of order $ r $ arising from degenerate umbral calculus

<abstract><p>Many mathematicians have studied degenerate versions of some special polynomials and numbers that can take into account the surrounding environment or a person's psychological burden in recent years, and they've discovered some interesting results. Furthermore, one of the most important approaches for finding the combinatorial identities for the degenerate version of special numbers and polynomials is the umbral calculus. The Catalan numbers and the Daehee numbers play important role in connecting relationship between special numbers.</p> <p>In this paper, we first define the degenerate Catalan-Daehee numbers and polynomials and aim to study the relation between well-known special polynomials and degenerate Catalan-Daehee polynomials of order $ r $ as one of the generalizations of the degenerate Catalan-Daehee polynomials by using the degenerate Sheffer sequences. Some of them include the degenerate and other special polynomials and numbers such as the degenerate falling factorials, the degenerate Bernoulli polynomials and numbers of order $ r $, the degenerate Euler polynomials and numbers of order $ r $, the degenerate Daehee polynomials of order $ r $, the degenerate Bell polynomials, and so on.</p></abstract>

New classes of recurrence relations involving hyperbolic functions, special numbers and polynomials

By using the calculus of finite differences methods and the umbral calculus, we construct recurrence relations for a new class of special numbers. Using this recurrence relation, we define generating functions for this class of special numbers and also new classes of special polynomials. We investigate some properties of these generating functions. By using these generating functions with their functional equations, we obtain many new and interesting identities and relations related to these classes of special numbers and polynomials, the Bernoulli numbers and polynomials, the Euler numbers and polynomials, the Stirling numbers. Finally, some derivative formulas and integral formulas for these classes of special numbers and polynomials are given. In general, this article includes results that have the potential to be used in areas such as discrete mathematics, combinatorics analysis and their applications.

On the type 2 poly-Bernoulli polynomials associated with umbral calculus

Type 2 poly-Bernoulli polynomials were introduced recently with the help of modified polyexponential functions. In this paper, we investigate several properties and identities associated with those polynomials arising from umbral calculus techniques. In particular, we express the type 2 poly-Bernoulli polynomials in terms of several special polynomials, like higher-order Cauchy polynomials, higher-order Euler polynomials, and higher-order Frobenius-Euler polynomials.
