The main purpose of this paper is to develop a longitudinal human driving model that is accurate enough for the performance evaluation of adaptive cruise control systems. Six driver models were evaluated based on selected data from two vehicle motion databases—the SAVME database and the ICCFOT database, both created at the University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute (UMTRI). Among the models we evaluated, the Gipps’ model was found to be the most promising and was further analyzed. A modified version of the model was suggested and evaluated. The modified model was implemented in a microscopic traffic simulator and was found to produce results that agree with macroscopic traffic behavior very well.

This study is a high-performance, energy-saving drive technology for all pcLED based on luminescence relaxation properties. Its core idea is coordination between power driving model and pcLED relaxation properties. Compared with relative small pulse width, forward pulse excitation current can make pcLED luminescence tends to its saturation peak rapidly during this period because of the steep leading edge of relaxation properties. And in the vacant period of forward pulse excitation current, because of the chosen of best duty cycle, it will be the most effective utilization for luminescence afterglow which has slow attenuation characteristic.

Information-aware connected and automated vehicles (CAVs) have drawn great attention in recent years due to their potentially significant positive impacts on roadway safety and operational efficiency. In this paper, we conduct an in-depth review of three basic and key interrelated aspects of a CAV: sensing and communication technologies; human factors; and information-aware controller design. First, the different vehicular sensing and communication technologies and their protocol stacks, to provide reliable information to the information-aware CAV controller, are thoroughly discussed. Diverse human factors, such as user comfort, preferences, and reliability, to design the CAV systems for mass adaptation are also discussed. Then, the different layers of a CAV controller (route planning, driving mode execution, and driving model selection) considering human factors and information through connectivity are reviewed. In addition, the critical challenges for the sensing and communication technologies, human factors, and information-aware controller are identified to support the design of a safe and efficient CAV system while considering user acceptance and comfort. Finally, the promising future research directions of these three aspects are discussed to overcome existing challenges to realize a safe and operationally efficient CAV.

The purpose of this study is to examine the driving model of determinant factors that affects the performance of small and micro enterprises empirical evidence from Amhara Region, Ethiopia. The study used primary and secondary data from manufacturing, construction, urban agriculture, trade, and service entrepreneurs found in Bahirdar, Dessie & Gonder Cities using a purposive sampling technique. It also used the descriptive research design with a self-administered survey questionnaire. The Statistical analysis tools, SPSS and Amos, software were applied to analyze the data. Multiple regression model results revealed that access to credit, initial capital, working premises, industry category, market linkage, ICT adoption have a positive relationship and a major impact on the Amhara region's enterprise performance. Hence, the outcome variable, enterprise performance, is highly affected by all predicted variables. As the study finding shows, a lack of access to credit, , market linkage, working premises), initial capital, and information communication Technology problems are critical challenges of SMEs. The Regional Government, TVED Bureau, Micro Finance Institutions, , should take corrective action to provide sufficient credit and long-term loans to protect inflation. Moreover, this study proposed a sustainable cluster management approach that solves their challenges in an integrated way.

Anti-jamming games have become a popular research topic. However, there are not many publications devoted to such games in the case of vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs). We considered a VANET anti-jamming game on the road using a realistic driving model. Further, we assumed the quadratic power function in both vehicle and jammer utility functions instead of the standard linear term. This makes the game model more realistic. Using mathematical methods, we expressed the Nash equilibrium through the system parameters in single-channel and multi-channel cases. Since the network parameters are usually unknown, we also compared the performance of several reinforcement learning algorithms that iteratively converge to the Nash equilibrium predicted analytically without having any information about the environment in the static and dynamic scenarios.
