On the long straight road of one proving ground of Ministry of Communications, in order to study the influence of brake energy regeneration system (BERS), gear on coasting resistance, road coasting tests of a HEB were carried out under different conditions, separately on and off of BERS, neutral gear and gearing up. Test results showed, the regeneration brake force generated during the process of brake energy regeneration had quadratic relationship with vehicle speed, which had the greatest impact on coasting resistance; Coasting resistance under gearing up increased basically in proportion with rise in vehicle speed, and were about 2200N higher than those under neutral gear. When carrying out HEB road coasting tests, the BERS should be turned off, the transmission should be in neutral gear.

Motor and its control technology are one of the main components of Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV). To meet HEV's fast torque response, vector control algorithm based on rotor flux-oriented and simulation model is concerned and modular designs for controller's hardware and software are presented in the paper in order to build a platform to achieve the vector control of asynchronous induction motor. Analyze the controller's electromagnetic compatibility, introduce the corresponding antijamming measures to assure the normal operation of the electromagnetic sensitive devices such as CAN bus; experiment proves that the measure is practical and feasible. On the basis of the control logic correct, such as improving CAN bus communication reliability, assuring power-on sequence and fault treatment, carry on the motor bench experiment, test its static properties, and adjust the controller parameters. The experimental results show that the designed driving system has the performance of low speed and high torque, a wide range of variable speed and high comprehensive efficiency.

Based on the vehicle CAN bus technology, with features of Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) control network be concerned, CAN bus protocols of application layer suitable for HEV are developed in the paper. And control network is built based on multi-master CAN distributed control technology. Through CAN controller programming of DSP, supported by the corresponding external drive circuit, the motor controller nodes is connected with the vehicle CAN network. Finally the CAN Bus communication of HEV energy assembly control system is designed and realized. Experimental result indicates that the system works well with stable signal and strong anti-jamming ability, and the communication with HEV CAN bus is realized successfully.
