The application of concrete filled steel tubes (CFSTs) as composite members has widely been used around the world and is becoming popular day by day for structural application especially in earthquake regions. This paper indicates that an experimental study was conducted to comprehend the behaviour of T-stub end plates connected to concrete filled thin-walled steel tube (CFTST) with different types of bolts and are subjected to pullout load. The bolts used are normal type bolt M20 grade 8.8 and Lindapter Hollo-bolt HB16 and HB20. A series of 10 mm thick T-stub end plates were fastened to 2 mm CFTST of 200 mm x 200 mm in cross-section. All of the specimens were subjected to monotonic pull-out load until failure. Based on test results, the Lidapter Hollo-bolts showed better performance compare to normal bolts. The highest ultimate limit load for T-stub end plate fasten with Lindapter Hollo-bolt is four times higher than with normal bolt although all end plates show similar behaviour and failure mode patterns. It can be concluded that T-stub end plate with Lindapter Hollo-bolt shows a better performance in the service limit and ultimate limit states according to the regulations in the design codes.

Weldability involves two aspects: welding behavior of components and safety in operation. The two aspects will be reduced to the mechanical characteristics of the elements and to the chemical composition. In the case of steel reinforcing rebar’s, it is reduces to the percentage of Cech(carbon equivalent) and to the mechanical characteristics: the yielding limit, the ultimate limit, and the elongations which after that represent the ductility class in which the re-bars is framed. The paper will present some types of steel reinforcing rebar’s with its mechanical characteristics and the welding behavior of those elements. In the current work, process-related behavior of welded reinforcement, joint local and global mechanical properties, and their correlation with behavior of normal reinforcement and also the mechanical performance resulted in this type of joints. Abstract The measured elastic and strength properties of angle-ply composites of short fibers and rubber depend on test-piece geometry. In general, higher tensile moduli and strengths are obtained when plies are both thin and wide. Once the effects of test-piece geometry are taken into account, elastic properties can be calculated as functions of the properties of a single ply. Classical compliance transformation equations can be used. However, because of the invariance of shear modulus in aligned composites, the tensor transformation equations are somewhat simplified. Tensile strengths of off-axis unidirectional composite plates and balanced-angle plies can be fitted by Hill's criterion. Unidirectional composites tend to fail in the weakest mode, depending on the angle of stress, but laminating causes all principal stresses in a ply to be near their ultimate limit at the time of failure.

Постановка задачи. Исследуется метод усиления железобетонных колонн устройством стальной обоймы с обетонированием, который позволяет восстанавливать эксплуатационные показатели колонн, имеющих значительные дефекты и повреждения. Предпосылкой настоящих исследований явилось предположение о том, что усиление стальной обоймой с обетонированием является эффективным способом повышения несущей способности железобетонных колонн, причем вариант приложения нагрузки - только на бетонное ядро или ко всему сечению - существенно на эффективность усиления не влияет. В связи с этим целью исследования является определение необходимости устройства стального оголовка и включения в работу ветвей стальной обоймы при условии обетонирования стержня колонны по всей высоте. Результаты и выводы. Рациональным признан способ передачи нагрузки только на бетонное ядро усиленных колонн, поскольку устройство оголовка стальной обоймы требует применения сложных конструктивно-технологических решений, но при этом дополнительно увеличивает несущую способность незначительно (согласно проведенным исследованиям менее чем на 10 %). Ввиду отсутствия необходимости устройства конструкций стального оголовка снижаются трудоемкость и сроки производства работ по усилению колонн. Statement of the problem. The method of strengthening reinforced concrete columns with a steel clipping and the concrete surfacing is investigated. This method allows one to repair the columns with significant defects and damage. The prerequisite for this study was the assumption of strengthening with a steel clipping and the concrete surfacing is an effective way to increase the ultimate limit state of reinforced concrete columns, furthermore, the option of applying the load (only to the concrete core or to the entire section) does not significantly affect the strengthening effectiveness. In this regard, the purpose of the investigation was to identify the need to include the steel jacketing in the work, on the condition the column is coated with concrete along with the entire height. Results and conclusions. The load transfer method only to the concrete core of the strengthened columns is recognized as rational since the device of the steel clipping head requires the use of complex structural and technological solutions, but at the same time additionally increases the ultimate limit state insignificantly (according to the studies by less than 10 %). Due to the absence of the need to establish structures of the steel jacketing head, the labor intensiveness and terms of work production on strengthening the columns are reduced.

We cannot predict the Actual tendency of an accident at what time that is occurs so it is always preferred to be cautious while designing a system that is related to utility of general public . brakes failure is one of the most commonly seen automobile failure where a person or a family tend to loose not just a man or a person but also their livelihood .The accident rate in India has been increasing day by day and human errors tend to occur as the nature of doing a thing by a human includes errors .mostly todays technologies has emerged to be completely automated but still when it comes to vehicles the brakes tend to be applied normally by a human. Particularly in relation to human life and health Some special safety systems have been designed into cars for the security of the passengers only, while others have been built for the safety of others. This is a brake disaster warning route that continuously tracks the dynamic state of the brake. If the brake fails, the switch activates, and the ignition turns off automatically.
