<p><strong>Purpose:</strong> This study comprised two main goals. The first goal demonstrates how LT (Lean Tools) allows the highest impact during the implementation phase.The second goal consisted of introducing procedure changes based on the Management of Human Resources through Lean Leadership tool. The target for these two objectives is to achieve an increase of 5% in machine occupancy rate and a reduction of 10% regarding the costs of defective products per hour.</p><p><strong>Methodology/Approach:</strong> The research methodology is a Action-Research/Research-Action developed by Professor Kurt Lewin of MIT that goes through cycles of five stages: Diagnosis; Planning; Implementation; Evaluation, Conclusions.</p><p><strong>Findings:</strong> Regarding the two objectives above mentioned, it was observed an increase of 8.5% in machine occupancy rate and a reduction of 27.9% regarding the costs per hour of defective products. It was created an additional motivation in the employees and very satisfying results in every production.</p><p><strong>Research Limitation/implication:</strong> The study is limited to a Portuguese Small and Medium-sized Enterprise (SME) in the metalworking sector.</p><p><strong>Originality/Value of paper:</strong> Lean tools can be rapidly and easily implemented and quickly understood by the workers. With that implementation, the occupation of the machines has increased and the defects and their costs have decreased, so the added value grows.</p>

We in a fact of Indonesia educator have been struggling in major of educational human resources, which come-up of the research methodology as a burden science aspect. In addition, the primidone of research method in education system was classroom action research and/or action research. This means, educator tend to conduct an action research for the safe zone rather than scaffold to another marry research method, outside of main research method. In other word, we can said that they want to play in safe level or action research for them, it is a concreate method that guaranteed-facilitated teaching and learning to achieve the best improvement. However, in fact, because of their research behaviour it will cause a hinder point such as in the pandemic, which someone unable or lack of research methodology paradigms, he or she will stuck or in crucial situation can be lost of knowledge development. Directly, student’s will lost their improvement, and whole system of education. In further, by the purpose of this paper to reconstructed-and promoted research capacity of Indonesia educator through enlightens the knowledge of survey and case study uses, researcher concluded that, both survey and case study, were accordance to educational research foundation, which postulated to develop in sustainable capacity of educational human resources also administration. So that like in pandemic outbreak, besides conducting an action research, educators were able to synthesize-analyse-evaluate-develop knowledge based also teaching and learning, to meet the goal of national education.

Someone would argue that in accounting studies time tends to be left out from discussions and therefore research designs or theories risk to be temporally incorrect or incomplete as well as processes are misunderstood or misrepresented. Assuming that accounting is not only able to measure and report time but can also contribute to the construction of specific aspects of it, the purpose of this paper is to analyse the relationship between time and management accounting. To investigate this idea a case study will be examined adopting an action research methodology. The main findings of the study are the following. Firstly, in accounting there is the need to combine the different conceptions of time (objective vs. subjective; cyclical vs. non-cyclical) in order to fully understand a phenomenon. Secondly, accounting tends to capture time only from a quantitative perspective, overlooking its qualitative aspects. Moreover, accounting enables talking about time and achieving a more and more sophisticated and shared perception of the temporal dimension.

Twitter and Microblogging are two separate entities but completes each other. Both of them can be used as language learning tools and their potential has been proved by several scholars. This study tries to examine students’ experiences in integrating microblogging with twitter. It is also study about the beneficial roles of microblogging with Twitter in language learning, its relation to writing, and its appropriateness in language learning. This study employs a qualitative research methodology, and case study as its research design. Semi-structured interviews and questionnaires were employed in this study to find out about participants' views about microblogging and Twitter. From this study, it can be concluded that the participants of the study underwent various experiences during the implementation of microblogging with Twitter. They also felt that microblogging with Twitter at some point advantages them to systematically arrange their ideas, and allows them to choose appropriate diction of their ideas. They also stated that Twitter can be an appropriate means in language learning, especially in English writing<em>.</em>

AbstractThe present essay investigates the potential of generative representation applied to the study of relief perspective architectures realized in Italy between the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. In arts, and architecture in particular, relief perspective is a three-dimensional structure able to create the illusion of great depths in small spaces. A method of investigation applied to the case study of the Avila Chapel in Santa Maria in Trastevere in Rome (Antonio Gherardi 1678) is proposed. The research methodology can be extended to other cases and is based on the use of a Relief Perspective Camera, which can create both a linear perspective and a relief perspective. Experimenting mechanically and automatically the perspective transformations from the affine space to the illusory space and vice versa has allowed us to see the case study in a different light.

This article offers a network perspective on the collaborative effects of technology transfer, providing a research methodology based on the network science paradigm. We argue that such an approach is able to map and describe the set of entities acting in the technology transfer environment and their mutual relationships. We outline how the connections’ patterns shape the organization of the networks by showing the role of the members within the system. By means of a case study of a transnational initiative aiming to support the technology transfer within European countries, we analyse the application of the network science approach, giving evidence of its relative implications.

PurposeThe purpose is to explore how the process of action research (AR) can support building legitimacy and organizational learning in innovation project management and portfolio practices in merger contexts.Design/methodology/approachMeta-reflection on method issues in Action Research through an action research case study with an innovation group during an organizational change process. This case demonstrates an example of an action research cycle focused on building practitioner legitimacy rather than problem-solving.FindingsKey findings include (1) demonstrating how AR can be used for building legitimacy through visualizing the innovation process, and embedding those visuals in top management practices of the organization; and (2) demonstrating how AR can work as an organizational learning tool in merger contexts.Research limitations/implicationsThis study focuses on an action research cooperation during a two-and-a-half-year period. Thus, findings offer the depth of a medium term case study. The processes of building legitimacy represent this particular case, and can be investigated in other organizational contexts to see the extent to which these issues can be generalized.Practical implicationsFor researchers, this paper offers an additional type of AR cycle to consider in their research design which can be seen as demonstrating a form of interplay between practitioner action and organizational level legitimacy. For practitioners, this paper demonstrates a connection between legitimacy and organizational learning in innovation contexts. The discussion of how visuals were co-created and used for building legitimacy for an innovation process that differs from the standard stage gate model demonstrates how engaging in AR research can contribute to developing visuals as resources for building legitimacy and organizational learning based on connections between theory and practice.Originality/valueThis case rethinks AR practice for innovation project management contexts to include legitimacy and organizational learning. This focus on legitimacy building from organizational learning and knowledge conversion contributes to our understanding of the soft side of innovation project management. Legitimacy is demonstrated to be a key concern for innovation project management practices.
