In this article, we explicitly calculated the values of the representations of the Hecke algebra [Formula: see text], associated with a Gelfand–Graev character of GL 4(q), at some of the standard basis elements.

The development of the international trade and the entrance of domestic car manufacturers into international markets required bench equipment development for tests in accordance with the requirements of the European standards. In this connection the purpose of this work is to develop an experimental and methodical basis for the estimation of the strength correspondence of export railway produce to the European standard basis. In the work there is shown a description of the bench developed for static tests of rolling stock for loads corresponding to the European standard basis. In the requirements mentioned there is used a more extended list of loads and combination of efforts and the necessity in the application of longitudinal loads to the elements of the end wall in three levels should be particularly emphasized. On the test bench there are carried out static tests of the car of model 61-4514 for Egyptian national railways and the body of the motor-rail car of model 2853 for the railway infrastructure of Serbia.

High-titer preparations of Klebsiella bacteriocins (klebocins) were obtained by using mitomycin to induce standard strains of Klebsiella. Of 296 clinical isolates of Klebsiella, 67% could be typed on the basis of their sensitivity to klebocins. The method proposed in this paper affords a standard basis for the further development of klebocin typing as a suitable procedure for hospital laboratories concerned with epidemiological investigations of hospital-associated infections. Evidence is also provided to show that high-titered klebocin typing can be used in conjunction with biochemical typing to provide a sensitive epidemiological marker for Klebsiella.

Our aim in this paper is to generalize certain ideas and results of Bary (1) on biorthogonal systems in separable Hilbert spaces to their counterparts in separable lp-spaces, 1 < p.The main result of Bary is to characterize a natural generalization of the concept of orthonormal basis for a Hilbert space. That of this paper is to characterize the concept of a Bary basis which is a generalization of the idea of standard basis of an lp-space. The result is interesting for lp-spaces because of the paucity of standard bases in these spaces. Before summarizing our results, we shall introduce some notation and recall a few pertinent definitions and facts. The symbols and denote mutually conjugate lp-spaces, where is the space lt and the space lswith 1 < r <2 and 2 < s = r/(r – 1).

In this paper, we present reducible representation of the n2 braid group representation which is constructed on the tensor product of n-dimensional spaces. Specifically, it is shown that via a combining method, we can construct more n2 dimensional braiding S-matrices which satisfy the braid relations. By Yang–Baxterization approach, we derive a 9 × 9 unitary [Formula: see text]-matrix according to a 9 × 9 braiding S-matrix we have constructed. The entanglement properties of [Formula: see text]-matrix is investigated, and the arbitrary degree of entanglement for two-qutrit entangled states can be generated via [Formula: see text]-matrix acting on the standard basis.

A theory of “subalgebra basis” analogous to standard basis (the generalization of Gröbner bases to monomial orderings which are not necessarily well orderings [1]) for ideals in polynomial rings over a field is developed. We call these bases “SASBI Basis” for “Subalgebra Analogue to Standard Basis for Ideals”. The case of global orderings, here they are called “SAGBI Basis” for “Subalgebra Analogue to Gröbner Basis for Ideals”, is treated in [6]. Sasbi bases may be infinite. In this paper we consider subalgebras admitting a finite Sasbi basis and give algorithms to compute them.
