Abstract We discuss the testability of CP-violating phases at future lepton colliders for the scenario which satisfies electric dipole moment data by destructive interferences among several phases. We consider the general but aligned two Higgs doublet model which has the CP-violating phases in the Higgs potential and the Yukawa interaction. The Yukawa interaction terms are aligned to avoid flavor changing neutral currents at tree level. The Higgs potential is also aligned such that the coupling constants of the lightest Higgs boson with the mass of 125 GeV to the Standard Model (SM) particles are the same as those of the SM at tree level. We investigate the azimuthal angle distribution of the hadronic decay of tau leptons arising from production and decay of the extra Higgs bosons, which contains information of the CP-violating phases. From the signal and background simulation, we find that the scenario with finite CP-violating phases can be distinguished from CP conserving one at future lepton colliders like the International Linear Collider.

AbstractThe Circular Electron Positron Collider and the International Linear Collider are two electron-positron Higgs factories. They are designed to operate at a center-of-mass energy of 240 and 250 GeV and accumulate 5.6 and 2 $$ab^{-1}$$ab-1 of integrated luminosity. This paper estimates their performance on the $$H \rightarrow \tau ^{+}\tau ^{-}$$H→τ+τ- benchmark measurement. Using the full simulation analysis, the CEPC is expected to measure the signal strength to a relative accuracy of 0.8%. Extrapolating to the ILC setup, we conclude the ILC can reach a relative accuracy of 1.1% or 1.2%, corresponding to two benchmark beam polarization setups. The physics requirement on the mass resolution of the Higgs boson with hadronic decay final states is also discussed, showing that the CEPC baseline design and reconstruction fulfill the accuracy requirement of the $$H\rightarrow \tau ^{+}\tau ^{-}$$H→τ+τ- signal strength.

In the framework of the Left–Right Twin Higgs model, we studied the bottom-quark pair production via e+e- collision at the International Linear Collider. We calculated the bottom-quark pair production cross-section at tree level and the relevant differential distributions. The relative correction of the production cross-section is significant and the result will be a sensitive probe of the Left–Right Twin Higgs model.

AbstractWe study the correlation between the constraints on general two Higgs doublet model from Higgs inflation and from collider experiments. The parameter space receives meaningful constraints from direct searches at the large hadron collider and from flavor physics if $$m_H$$ m H , $$m_A$$ m A , and $$m_{H^\pm }$$ m H ± are in the sub-TeV range, where H, A, and $$H^\pm $$ H ± are the CP even, CP odd, and charged Higgs bosons, respectively. We find that in the parameter region favored by the Higgs inflation, H, A, and $$H^\pm $$ H ± are nearly degenerate in mass. We show that such near degeneracy can be probed directly in the upcoming runs of the Large Hadron Collider, while the future lepton colliders such as the International Linear Collider and the future circular collider would provide complementary probes.

Lepton flavor violating (LFV) processes, [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] ([Formula: see text] or [Formula: see text]), via four-Fermi contact interactions at future International Linear Collider (ILC) are studied. Taking account of previous experimental results of LFV processes [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text], we find that the upper limits on the LFV parameters for [Formula: see text] could be improved at the ILC experiment using the polarized electron beam. The improvement of the upper limits could be nearly an order of magnitude as compared to previous ones.

Studying the properties of the Higgs boson can be an important window to explore the physics beyond the Standard Model (SM). In this work, we present studies on the implications of the Higgs precision measurements at future Higgs Factories. We perform a global fit to various Higgs search channels to obtain the 95% C.L. constraints on the model parameter spaces of two-Higgs Doublet Model (2HDM) and Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM). In the 2HDM, we analyze tree-level effects as well as one-loop contributions from the heavy Higgs bosons. The strong constraints on [Formula: see text], heavy Higgs masses and their mass splitting are complementary to direct search of the LHC as well as possible future [Formula: see text] pole precision measurements. For the MSSM, we study both the Higgs couplings and mass precisions. The constraints on the CP-odd Higgs mass [Formula: see text] and stop mass scale [Formula: see text] can be complementary to the direct search of HL-LHC. We also compare the sensitivity of various future Higgs factories, namely, Circular Electron Positron Collider (CEPC), Future Circular Collider (FCC)-ee and International Linear Collider (ILC).
