Memory Structures

The demand for more efficient and faster memory structures is greater today than ever before. The efficiency of memory structures is measured in terms of storage capacity and the speed of functioning. However, the production cost of such configurations is the natural constraint on how much can be achieved. Organic memory devices (OMDs) provide an ideal solution, in being inexpensive, and at the same time promising high performance. However, all OMDs reported so far suffer from multiple drawbacks that render their industrial implementation premature. This article introduces the different types of OMDs, discusses the progress in this field over the last 9 years and invokes conundrums that scholars of this field are currently faced with, such as questions about the charging mechanism and stability of devices, contradictions in the published work and some future directions.

Data mining depends on large-scale taxi traces is an important research concepts. A vital direction for analyzing taxi GPS dataset is to suggest cruising areas for taxi drivers. The project first investigates the real-time demand-supply level for taxis, and then makes an adaptive tradeoff between the utilities of drivers and passengers for different hotspots. This project constructs a recommendation system by jointly considering the profits of both drivers and passengers. At last, the qualified candidates are suggested to drivers based on analysis. The project also provides a real-time charging station recommendation system for EV taxis via large-scale GPS data mining. By combining each EV taxi’s historical recharging actions and real-time GPS trajectories, the present operational state of each taxi is predicted. Based on this information, for an EV taxi requesting a recommendation, recommend a charging station that leads to the minimal total time before its recharging starts.

The use of multirotor drones has increased dramatically in the last decade. These days, quadcopters and Vertical Takeoff and Landing (VTOL) drones can be found in many applications such as search and rescue, inspection, commercial photography, intelligence, sports, and recreation. One of the major drawbacks of electric multirotor drones is their limited flight time. Commercial drones commonly have about 20–40 min of flight time. The short flight time limits the overall usability of drones in homeland security applications where long-duration performance is required. In this paper, we present a new concept of a “power-line-charging drone”, the idea being to equip existing drones with a robotic mechanism and an onboard charger in order to allow them to land safely on power lines and then charge from the existing 100–250 V AC (50–60 Hz). This research presents several possible conceptual models for power line charging. All suggested solutions were constructed and submitted to a field experiment. Finally, the paper focuses on the optimal solution and presents the performance and possible future development of such power-line-charging drones.

In this paper, the charging mechanism and content distribution mechanisms of cloud storage for analysis, given reasonable network topology and cost models. Suggestions for improvement heuristic cloud storage static content distribution genetic algorithm is put forward. Full account of the current network bandwidth, edge cloud storage node performance and historical visit value, since the convergence of the proposed probabilistic matching content distribution cloud storage load balancing technology, effectively balancing the load, while reducing the edge server response time.
