Abstract Strip mining in mines is one of the main mining methods to control surface subsidence and protect the ecological environment. In recent years, strip mining has induced frequent rock burst accidents due to the increase in mining intensity and mining depth. Based on two typical deep strip mining accidents, the characteristics of the changes in spatial structure of the overlying strata caused by strip mining are studied, and the influencing factors of the occurrence of strip mining rock burst are analyzed. A support pressure calculation model is proposed, and estimated and verified in a mine after an analysis of the change law of the overlying strata structure in strip mining and research on the distribution and evolution law of support pressure. Based the above research, a risk evaluation model of the strip mining face is proposed based on the possibility index method, the 4203 working face of a mine is evaluated. Compared with the numerical simulation results, this method is well consistent with the theoretical calculation model. It can be seen that this method has strong practicability and is of great significance for studying the rock burst characteristics of coal seams in strip mining and evaluating the risk of rock burst of coal seams.

Zhoushen Well X1 is a deep and exploration well, there are some difficulties in drilling fluids treating: The borehole is large, the open hole is long and the rock density proportion is high in the overlying strata. So the drilling fluids must have good suspended and sand carrying; there are brown mudstone, gypsum mudstone and light gray fine sandstone in the lower strata, swelling and hole shrinkage always happen. So the key point is ensuring well wall stability and preventing swelling and hole shrinkage. The drilling fluids must have strong Calcium-tolerance and good compatibility with formation for coping the swelling and hole shrinkage of the high conductivity mudstone in the deep well section. Because well temperature is high in the lower section, the stability of anti-high temperature is very important. The drilling fluids must have prevention against high temperature denseness ability and good rheological property.

The strip mining method is proposed to prohibit overlying strata and surface moving. The law of displacement and deformation damage of overlying strata and surface which is a sophisticated process of physical and mechanical dynamics is analyzed in theory. Based on the actual project data, the law is obtained by the numerical simulation with FLAC3D. Moreover, the strip reasonable mining method and interrelated parameters is presented according to the specific geology and mining conditions of coal. It is proved that the strip mining method can avoid geological damage effectively for overlying strata and surface movement in practice.

Aiming at the problem of surface movement and long-term stability of a work plane of deep well strip mining in Shandong Province, an observation station is set up on the surface of strip mining, and the surface deformation value during strip mining is measured with advanced measuring instruments; on the stable surface of the old mining area, the surface deformation monitoring work is also carried out for new buildings. In addition, the FLAC3D simulation method is used to determine the subsidence factor of different mining depth, mining width, mining length, and mining thickness, and the mathematical model between the subsidence factor and mining depth, mining width, mining length, and mining thickness is established. After the surface of the old goaf is basically stable after strip mining, the high-rise buildings are built. By changing the size of the new buildings and the amount of the load imposed on the surface, the surface deformation is simulated and calculated, and the relationship between the different load positions, load sizes, loading building sizes, and the surface activated deformation is obtained. The measured value of the surface deformation confirms that the load of the new buildings can induce the activation of the old goaf and make the surface generate secondary deformation, but the activated deformation makes the new building within the range of 1, so the new building is safe.

Large-scale separation terrane in bending strip upside cranny strip is brought by un-consistency of overlying strata subsidence movement due to underground mining. Different characters of movement and deformation of overlying strata and ground include periodic caving of separation terrane interspace along with work face mining. Conglomerate rock layer movement is the main power fountain of rock burst on the basis of locale observation. And rock burst moves periodically adapt to movement of deep conglomerate rock layer which had similar characters with main roof. Practice indicates this method that forecasting and prediction using correlation information of movement of strata and ground is feasible and has reference meaning for similar stope.

The paper sets up mechanical model according to the characteristics of paste filling stope and determines the basic model units which are overlying strata, filling body, support and floor. The paper also establishes the mechanical parameters for controlling movement and deformation of overlying strata and sets up the relationship of all mechanical parameters. Based on this, the paper studies the stress evolution law under the condition of different filling ratio and filling step distance with the method of numerical simulation.

Large strip mining technology could effectively control the surface subsidence inducing from overlying strata movement and realize green mining. Bored stress and deformation sensors were laid in 4301 working face pillar of Shandong energy zibo mining group tangkou coal, analyzing the strip pillar stress pre and post working face; numerical simulation was used to study the influence of overlying strata from reserved size of strip pillar. According to the observation results of surface movement and deformation, law of surface movement and deformation characteristics was studied, which contributed to the practical application of large strip mining technology under deep mining and had the important theoretical and practical significance for mining under buildings ,railways and water in Chinese.
