Method of time sampling for processing of structured data obtained during thermal analysis of condensed media is presented, based on comparison of maximum time intervals of processes of phase transitions. Proposed method makes it possible to simplify analysis and processing of data obtained as a result of series of experiments and to identify composition, which has the largest value of time interval of phase transition process. To implement the proposed method, a program in the Java programming language was developed, which is a JavaDesktop application with an intuitive graphical interface. The calculation results are exported to a text and graphic file. To verify the feasibility of this method, studies were carried out on melting a series of ice samples and ice-containing compositions of aqueous solutions of inorganic compounds, as a result of which specific samples of compositions with the best thermophysical properties for accumulating cold were obtained from each series.

Abstrak Program Kegiatan Bermain Prososial (KBP) di sekolah merupakan salah satu program manajemen perilaku berbasis kelas yang dapat digunakan sebagai salah satu referensi bagi guru untuk mengurangi perilaku agresif siswa di sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan uji coba terhadap modul program KBP bagi siswa di kelas taman kanak-kanak yang cenderung berperilaku agresif. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode quasi eksperimental dengan desain penelitian A-B-A. Pengukuran dilakukan dengan observasi, yakni dengan metode time sampling. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa program KBP dapat menurunkan perilaku agresif siswa di kelas taman kanak-kanak. Abstract The Prosocial Play Activity Program (KBP) in schools is a class-based behavior management program that can be used as a reference for teachers to reduce student aggressive behavior in schools. This study aims to test the KBP program module for students in Kindergarten classes who tend to behave aggressively. The method used is a quasi experimental method with research design A-B-A. Measurements were made by observation, namely the time sampling method. The results of data analysis indicate that the KBP program can show aggressive behavior of students in Kindergarten classes.

The effects of giving breakfast on classroom behaviour were examined in 57 undernourished (<= - 1 SD weight-for-age) and 56 adequately nourished (L-I SD weight-forage) children, selected from four rural Jamaican schools. Using a time-sampling method of observation, the children's behaviour was observed twice, once after receiving breakfast and once after receiving a piece of fruit. The impact of breakfast varied among the schools but not between nutritional groups. In the school that was best equipped and organized, the children were more attentive (p <.005) and moved less (p <.05) when they received breakfast than when they had no breakfast. In the other three schools there was no improvement; in two of these schools, the children were less on task when given breakfast (p <.02 and p < .01), and they talked more in one school (p <.05). This suggests that school breakfast may only benefit children's behaviour in the presence of satisfactory classroom infrastructure.

This study aimed to test an observational momentary time sampling tool to estimate in-class moderate-to-vigorous physical activity (MVPA), in terms of validity, reliability and agreement between observational momentary time sampling and accelerometry, and to develop a regression equation to estimate MVPA from observational momentary time sampling. The sample comprised 78 pupils (38 girls), mean age 14.0 ± 1.1 years. Measurements were taken in three similar Physical Education classes, on three different days. To monitor MVPA, we applied the observational momentary time sampling method. Students wore an ActiGraph GT3X+ accelerometer. Reliabilities were determined by the intraclass correlations, the agreement between methods was analyzed using the Bland–Altman method, and a multiple regression analysis was performed to estimate the equation. The observational momentary time sampling showed good reliability across time (0.59 < r < 0.72, p < 0.001). It was significantly correlated with accelerometry (r = 0.51, p < 0.001). The MVPA assessed via accelerometer could be predicted from the following equation: Y = 44.3 + 0.47⋅(MVPA observational momentary time sampling method) + 8.0⋅(sex; with 0 = girls and 1 = boys). This observational momentary time sampling method is a stable and reliable tool to estimate MVPA. A regression equation using the score of observational momentary time sampling and sex can be used to better estimate the real MVPA.
