Objectives We present a bibliometric review of research on trait mindfulness published from 2005 till 2021 to determine the current state of the field and identify research trajectories. Methods A search conducted on Jan 30, 2021 using the search terms “trait mindfulness” OR “dispositional mindfulness” in the Web of Science Core Collection identified 1,229 documents. Results Using keyword-based network analyses, the various clusters suggested two major approaches in the field, one focusing on cognitive attentional processes, and a second approach that encompasses a wider field of well-being and clinical research topics. We also increasing consolidation of research fields over time, with research on wider individual differences such as personality being subsumed into clinically and wellbeing-oriented research topics. More recently, a distinct theme focused on the validity of measurement of mindfulness emerged. In addition to general patterns in the field, we examined the global distribution of trait mindfulness research. Research output was substantially skewed towards North American-based researchers with less international collaborations. Chinese researchers nevertheless also produced research at significant rates. Comparing the difference in research topics between China and the US-based researchers we found substantial differences with US research emphasizing meditation and substance abuse issues, whereas researchers from China focused on methodological questions. Conclusions Overall, our review indicates that research on trait mindfulness might profit from conceptual and cultural realignment, with greater focus on individual differences research in other areas of psychology to complement the strong clinical and cognitive focus we well as also stronger cross-cultural and comparative studies.

This research was carried out to provide a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of published research on Internet of Thing (IoT) in order to appreciate the trends and compare the publications contributions among different countries, institutions, authors, subject areas and other knowledge domains. The publications on the IoT were retrieved from Scopus database covering a period of 2009 -2018. A total of 9,367 articles were identified after different search steps. The analyses were conducted using bibliometric procedure. The largest number of publications were recorded in 2018 (3,712). The results further revealed that, China contributed the highest proportion of 3018(32.2%) publications, the USA was ranked second with total publications of 1348 (14.4%). The most productive journals of publications were IEEE Access and IEEE Internet of Things Journal with 465 publications each with total citation of 103,978. Similarly, the most productive authors were Yang, Laurence with 29 (h-Index 14), followed by Sangaiah, with 27 (h-Index) while Rodrigues is the least with 20 (h-Index). The top two authors has cumulative citations of 1,331. The bibliometric analysis of subject area revealed that, Computer Science with 2,987 (32%) followed by Engineering with 2597 (27.7%). However, among the top areas of research in IoT, business, management and accounting is ninth with a contribution of 188 (2%) publications only from 2009 to 2018. Additionally, affiliations, keywords, language, funding agencies information were clearly reported. Finally, this study provide an important inside for researchers in all the field of learning and serve as motivation for engagement in research activities as well as collaborations among scientist for meaningful research output.

Presently, there is a growing concern about implementing sustainable practices among businesses worldwide. Risk management is observed to contribute to the promotion of exercised business sustainability significantly. The study aims to examine published articles focusing on the role of risk management in promoting business sustainability practices and its advancement in the Cambridge online database to determine the current trend direction of this field. The paper’s conducted analysis is based on bibliographic co-word clustering analysis of the collected studies from the database. The research’s output disclosed four keyword clusters in the gathered articles’ titles and identified the most interested journals, countries, authors, subject areas, and organizations in the said topic and its popular research period. Based on the research output, recommendations regarding future research were provided, including expanding the list of databases for the data collection phase and utilizing the bibliographic coupling relations approach in the bibliometric analysis.

Abstract. Women have a minority position within science, technology, engineering, and mathematics and, consequently, are likely to face more adversities at work. This diary study takes a look at a facilitating factor for women’s research performance within academia: daily work engagement. We examined the moderating effect of gender on the relationship between two behaviors (i.e., daily networking and time control) and daily work engagement, as well as its effect on the relationship between daily work engagement and performance measures (i.e., number of publications). Results suggest that daily networking and time control cultivate men’s work engagement, but daily work engagement is beneficial for the number of publications of women. The findings highlight the importance of work engagement in facilitating the performance of women in minority positions.

AbstractIn the field of scientometrics, the principal purpose for author co-citation analysis (ACA) is to map knowledge domains by quantifying the relationship between co-cited author pairs. However, traditional ACA has been criticized since its input is insufficiently informative by simply counting authors’ co-citation frequencies. To address this issue, this paper introduces a new method that reconstructs the raw co-citation matrices by regarding document unit counts and keywords of references, named as Document- and Keyword-Based Author Co-Citation Analysis (DKACA). Based on the traditional ACA, DKACA counted co-citation pairs by document units instead of authors from the global network perspective. Moreover, by incorporating the information of keywords from cited papers, DKACA captured their semantic similarity between co-cited papers. In the method validation part, we implemented network visualization and MDS measurement to evaluate the effectiveness of DKACA. Results suggest that the proposed DKACA method not only reveals more insights that are previously unknown but also improves the performance and accuracy of knowledge domain mapping, representing a new basis for further studies.

This study discusses a music arrangement methodological approach that is based on research and author’s ongoing experience run for more then twnry five years. The study is aimed at contributing a methodic guidance for those who concern with music arrangement. The research output of this study is a formulation of the five steps in music arrangement that encompass: arrangement concept, initial arrangement, creating new idea, further arrangement, and evaluation as well as revision. The author suggests that piano is the best instrument for arrangement and the arranger should actively hear the arrangements of various musical genres. Keywords: music arrangement, five steps, methodic guidance
