Shell-core type TiP2O7-based electrolytes were synthesized by a low-temperature sol-gel method, and their conductivities were investigated by ac-impedance spectroscopy. The samples heat-treated at 500°C showed higher proton conductivities of 3.8 × 10-2 - 1 × 10-2 Scm-1 at intermediate temperatures (100 - 300°C). The conductivity decreased by reheat-treatments at 600°C and 700°C due to a decrease in the amount of the conductive amorphous shells. However, the mechanical strength of the sample pellet significantly increased by the reheat-treatment. The sample reheat-treated at 600°C kept high conductivities of 8.8 × 10-3 - 1 × 10-3 Scm-1 in a range of 100°C - 300°C.

KNN-BF piezoelectric ceramics synthesized by sol-gel method in this experiment. By controlling bismuth and iron content in the system to study effects of them. We selected citric acid as metal chelator and ethylene glycol as esterification agent. PH maintained 5-6 during preparation of the sol. Sintering temperature of ceramic selected 1100°C. Preparation ceramics under these conditions and comparative analysis, the structure of ceramics is single perovskite and shap of crystals are square block. With the increase of x, properties of ceramics firstly increases and then decreases: d33, εr, Qm, Kpreaching the maximum, values of them were 136pC/N, 630(f =1KHz), 212, 0.41 respectively; dielectric loss to minimum is 0.07(f =1KHz); at this point, ceramics had best performance.

Aluminum titanate (Al2TiO5) powder has been synthesized at low temperature via nonhydrolytic sol-gel method by using aluminum powder as aluminum source, titanium tetrachloride as titanium source, anhydrous ethanol as oxygen donor with different catalysts. The phase transformation of aluminum titanate xerogel powder during heat treatment and the influence of the mixing orders of raw materials, catalyst kinds on the synthesis of aluminum titanate were investigated by means of differential-thermal analysis (DTA-TG), X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscope (TEM). The results indicated that aluminum titanate powder was easily synthesized at 750 °C by using AlCl3 as catalyst with a mixing order of adding TiCl4 before AlCl3 into aluminum alcohol mixture. The catalytic order of the different catalysts in the preparation process of aluminum titanate is: FeCl3> AlCl3> MgCl2. The catalyst promoted the activation of metal aluminum powder and played a major role in the synthesis of aluminum titanate powder at low temperature via nonhydrolytic sol-gel method.
