Chua’s oscillator is topologically conjugate to a large class of vector fields with a scalar non-linearity. In this letter, we give an algorithm which, given a vector field in this class, finds the parameters for Chua’s oscillator for which Chua’s oscillator is topologically conjugate to it. We illustrate this by transforming Sparrow’s system and the chaotic Colpitts oscillator into equivalent Chua’s oscillators.

In this paper, a new chaotic circuit is introduced, conceived by considering a Colpitts oscillator with the inclusion of two further elements: a coupled inductor and a variable resistor. The proposed circuit exhibits a rich dynamics that has been experimentally characterized through the bifurcation diagram with respect to the resistor value. The main result that can be derived from the analysis of the new circuit leads to a simple way to control chaos in the chaotic Colpitts oscillator by varying a single external control parameter. The same technique has then been applied to the classical periodic Colpitts oscillator, demonstrating how in this way the oscillation frequency can be controlled.

Modulasi yang digunakan adalah modulasi on off keying. Kata kunci: Black box, pingers transmitter, on off keying. ABSTRACTPingers transmitter is used to emits a signal or pulse of acoustic vibrations  in black box. The frequency of the transmitted signal is 37.5 kHz which is modulated by pulses with a duration of 10 ms every interval 1 second. The modulation that used this research is on off keying modulation. In this research, made the design of pingers transmitter which arrange of the oscillator circuit, timer, inverter, switch, and amplifier circuit. The 37.5 kHz frequency is generated by the colpitts oscillator circuit, while the pulse width with a duration of 10 ms,and each pulse repetition interval of 1 second generated by timer circuit. Based on the design that have made, signal output from the pingers transmitter prototype is 37.69 kHz, with the pulse width 9.8 ms every 1 second interval. Keywords: Black box, pingers transmitter, on off keying.

Abstract: A Voltage Controlled Divider (VCO) is a basic building block in most of the electronic systems. Phase-locked loop (PLL), tone synthesizers, Frequency Shift Keying (FSK), frequency synthesizers, etc make use of VCO’s to generate an oscillating frequency that can be decided with the help of components. Voltage Controlled Divider can be implemented for analog applications. The project proposes three types of VCO using Electric tool and LT Spice XVII tool. The three VCO’s that are implemented are CMOS Ring Oscillator, Colpitts Oscillator and Relaxation Oscillator. These circuits generate two oscillating frequencies that is decided by the circult components. Keywords: Voltage Controlled Divider (VCO), CMOS Ring Oscillator, Colpitts Oscillator, Relaxation Oscillator, oscillating frequency.

We propose a method to locate wire faults using a chaotic signal generated by an improved Colpitts oscillator. The chaotic signal is divided into two parts: one serves as a reference signal, and the other serves as a probe signal which is sent down to the wire. The fault is detected by correlating the reference signal with the probe signal back-reflected from the fault. Experimental and numerical studies show that the chaotic signal generated by the improved Colpitts oscillator has a broad spectrum and excellent correlation properties. Using this chaotic signal, we experimentally prove our method can be used to locate open circuits, short circuits, impedance discontinuities and other different damage cases on wires, and also demonstrate its ability for testing live wires through the numerical simulation. The results show that a spatial resolution of 0.2 m and a maximum range of about 930 m can be achieved. Furthermore, the interference margin is about 167 dB for the digital signals such as Mil-Std 1553 data on wire.
