The strength of micro heat exchanger under pressure is studied in this paper. Micro heat exchanger is made with brazing technology. It is constructed of stainless steel thin plates with micro channels and in/out port for fluid flow. Micro channels in thin plates are formed by etching and all parts including thin plates are joined by brazing. The study on the strength under pressure is performed by structural analysis. For structural analysis, one layer of micro heat exchanger body is considered. It is composed of thin plate with micro channel and brazing filler which is used to join thin plates. This paper shows the tendency of stress behavior and gives design guideline of micro heat exchanger.

The present work has been carried out to study the effect of the varying the load at different materials (Aluminium Alloy 7075-T6, stainless steel 305 and Structural Steel 345w) on deflection. The simply supported beam has been subjected to varying load 5000N - 10000N and cantilever beam has been subjected to varying load 500N-1000N. The result obtained is in form of Directional Deflection and Equivalent Stresses. This analysis is done by the ANSYS Workbench 15.0 software under the static structural analysis further this result has been optimized using TAGUCHI METHOD using MINITAB17.

This paper presents fatigue life analysis of high performance motorcycle disc brake. The design parameter such as stress, deformation and safety factory that influences the disk brake on a high performance motorcycle were investigated. The simulation of static structural analysis of high performance motorcycle is successfully presented on 3 proposed materials by using ANSYS software. The static structural analysis is performed on the disc brake rotor with these candidate materials. From the analysis, Martensitic stainless steel, Wrought AISI 410 has the lowest value in Von-Mises stress which is 766.9MPa. Furthermore, it is less deformed which is 0.3429mm and has the factor of safety more than 1. Thus, this project proposes Martensitic Wrought AISI 410 stainless steel as the suitable material for disc brake rotor on HONDA GL1500 VALKYRIE motorcycle.

An Fe-1.0C-17Cr (wt.%) stainless steel was subjected to subzero treatment to investigated the structure of martensite midrib. The midrib region appeared in the thin plate and lenticular martensites have been observed detailed by TEM. The TEM result reveals that the transformations of thin plate martensite and lenticular martensite are initiated at the same midrib region. The former keeps the lattice-invariant deformation mode of twinning during subsequent growth, whereas the latter combines both twinning and slip modes. Midrib region is a preferential position for carbide precipitations after tempering. M3C and M23C6carbide were found in this alloy, and related to the ferrite by Bagaryatsky OR and K-S OR, respectively.

It is now possible to formulate the relation of the linear size of cracking arising on welding the cylindrical homogeneous-metal. Mathematical simulation of metal crystallization on welding and micro structural analysis give an insight into the fact that there begins crack nucleation in a weld root. Experimentally, by means of Acoustic Emission (AE), one can study welding and obtain the amplitude distribution of AE signals from cracking against the background of the hindrance accompanying this process. The conditions were found making impossible cracking.
