This paper presents the work of 5 PhD students in elaboration of their doctoral thesis, especially for the first part of the thesis, namely the state of the art. The method used was The Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA). Using the chart flow and the list of items of this method, a literature search was conducted in Science Direct Freedom Collection, Elsevier database, Web of Science - Core Collection, Springer Link Journals. In this paper are given 2 examples of systematic reviews that were obtained using PRISMA method.

The oral microbiome harbours microbial community signatures that differ among individuals, highlighting that it could be highly individualizing and potentially unique to each individual. Therefore, the oral microbial traces collected in crime scenes could produce investigative leads. This narrative review will describe the current state-of-the-art of how the salivary microbiome could be exploited as a genetic signature to make inferences in the forensic field. This review has been performed following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) Guidelines. Even if further studies are needed to relate the variation in the oral microbiome to specific factors, in order to understand how the salivary microbiome is influenced by an individual’s lifestyle, by reviewing the studies published so far, it is clear that the oral microbial analysis could become a useful forensic tool. Even if promising, caution is required in interpreting the results and an effort to direct research towards studies that fill the current knowledge gaps is certainly useful.

RESUMO Objetivo Investigar a aplicação dos instrumentos do Washington Group on Disability Statistics (WG) para obtenção de dados sobre incapacidade auditiva (IA). Estratégia de pesquisa Foram conduzidas buscas nas bases de dados PubMed, Scopus, Science Direct, Web of Science e Lilacs, e na literatura cinzenta. Os softwares State of the Art through Systematic Review e Mendeley foram utilizados como ferramentas para organização, seleção e armazenamento dos documentos. Critérios de seleção Seguiram-se orientações propostas pela Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses. De acordo com critérios de inclusão, foram selecionados estudos publicados em inglês ou português, entre 2001 e 2017, que aplicaram a pergunta sobre IA do WG. Análise dos dados Foram definidas como variáveis de análise: módulo WG utilizado, país e ano da coleta de dados, tamanho e composição da amostra, objetivo do estudo, periódico de publicação, estimativa da prevalência de IA e medidas de acurácia. Resultados Foram 65 os estudos incluídos, conduzidos com dados de 30 países. O módulo curto do WG foi mais comumente utilizado. As estimativas de prevalência da IA variaram de 0,2 a 2,3%, e apenas três estudos estimaram a acurácia do instrumento para sua identificação. Conclusão: O emprego do instrumento do WG, módulo de incapacidade auditiva, tem ocorrido em nível mundial, principalmente em países em desenvolvimento. A pequena variação entre as medidas de prevalência estimadas pelos estudos parece ser favorável ao objetivo do WG em gerar estimativas que permitam comparação internacional. No entanto, a escassez de estudos de validade indica a necessidade de mais investigações.

Various authors have emphasized the spatial information resident in an electron micrograph taken with adequately coherent radiation. In view of the completion of at least one such instrument, this opportunity is taken to summarize the state of the art of processing such micrographs. We use the usual symbols for the aberration coefficients, and supplement these with £ and 6 for the transverse coherence length and the fractional energy spread respectively. He also assume a weak, biologically interesting sample, with principal interest lying in the molecular skeleton remaining after obvious hydrogen loss and other radiation damage has occurred.

Abstract. This editorial gives a brief introduction to the six articles included in the fourth “Hotspots in Psychology” of the Zeitschrift für Psychologie. The format is devoted to systematic reviews and meta-analyses in research-active fields that have generated a considerable number of primary studies. The common denominator is the research synthesis nature of the included articles, and not a specific psychological topic or theme that all articles have to address. Moreover, methodological advances in research synthesis methods relevant for any subfield of psychology are being addressed. Comprehensive supplemental material to the articles can be found in PsychArchives ( https://www.psycharchives.org ).
