The ZnFe2O4 and TiO2 nanocomposite films was prepared by Sol-Gel method on conductive glass, and the influence factors of it’s photoelectrocatalytic performence such as the film layer, pole and voltage was investigated. The results indicated that: the photocatalytic effects of composite films with ZnFe2O4+ TiO2+ ZnFe2O4 was the best. The decomposing ratio of methyl orange with the photoelectrocatalysis of composite films at voltage 0.2-6V all increased unstably. At the same time, the distance from films to pole plank also had the effects on the photocatalytic activities of the films.

Opal as a carrier, tetrabutyl titanate as a titanium source, TiO2 loaded on opal was prepared by sol-gel technique. The photocatalysts were characterized by XRD, TEM and UV-VIS absorption spectrum. Their photocatalytic activities were examined by the photocatalytic decolorization of methylene blue solution under UV light irradiation. The effects of calcination temperature, the amount of TiO2 loading and pH on photocatalytic activities were discussed. The results show that TiO2 supported on opal induced enhancement of photocatalytic decolorization rant and TiO2 doping is about 30 wt. % with 92.15% of decolorization rate at 700°C.

The TiO2 sol was prepared hydrothermally in an autoclave from aqueous TiOCl2 solutions as starting precursor. Hollow fibers were obtained when sol-gel derived TiO2 sol was treated chemically with NaOH solution and subsequently heated in autoclave under various conditions. A systematic analysis of the influence of different NaOH concentrations on the formation of nanotubes has been carried out using XRD and SEM. The phase structure of the synthesized material was determined by transmission electron microscopy and found that these materials are, infact, hollow fibers widely known as nanotubes. From the TEM images, the outer and inner diameters of the tubes were measured ca. 8 and about 4 nm, respectively, with several hundred nanometers in length.

In this paper, Cu-Ce/TiO2nano-particles, whose molar ratio account for 2%,2.5%,3%,3.5% and 4% respectively, were synthesized by sol-gel method, using Ti(C4H9O)4as the raw material, And the photocatalytic activities of the prepared samples were investigated by degrading formaldehyde gas under pure visible light through simulating indoor environment in the environmental test chamber. Moreover, X-Ray Powder Diffraction (XRD) and Ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometer were applied to analyze the crystallite size and optical properties of the samples. It is indicated that the sample of 2.5% performs best in the test. Besides, photocatalytic mechanism of co-doping of Cu-Ce was discussed.
