The pyrazoline ring is a ubiquitous structural feature of many natural and synthetic compounds with potent anti-inflammatory activity. The creation of novel pyrazoline derivatives and examination of their chemical and biological behaviour have gained additional focus in the current decade. Pyrazolines and its fused heterocyclic derivatives tested with anti-inflammatory activity constitute a significant class of compounds for novel drug evolution. Pyrazoline nucleus when linked with different substituents like alkyl, aromatic, heterocyclic rings and many other groups at different positions on the ring shows considerable to more effective anti-inflammatory activity. This article presents a comprehensive review of the anti-inflammatory activity of some novel derivatives of pyrazoline ring.

: Among the various fused heterocyclic rings, benzothiazole and its analogues have been explored broadly in search of newer therapeutic medicinal agents. The benzothiazole scaffold has been associated with huge biological potential like anticancer, antidiabetic, anti-inflammatory, anti-tubercular, antiviral, anti-convulsant etc. The occurrence of benzothiazole core in various compounds proves its value in the sphere of pharmaceutical chemistry. The connected research and developments in benzothiazole based chemistry become an active topic for medicinal scientists. A large number of benzothiazole and its heterocyclic derivatives are available in the market and used for the treatment of as clinical drugs have been extensively used in practice to treat diverse types of ailments with high therapeutic potential. This review presents the latest therapeutic developments of benzothiazole containing compounds in the medicinal chemistry.

The presence of three nitrogen hetero-atoms in five-membered ring systems defines an interesting class of compounds, the triazole. This may be of two types, the 1,2,3-triazoles and the 1,2,4-triazoles. Out of the two triazoles, 1,2,4-triazole have drawn great attention due to its wide variety of activities, low toxicities and good pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic profiles. Chemistry of triazoles and their fused heterocyclic derivatives has received considerable attention owing to their effective biological activities such as anti inflammatory, analeptic, sedatives, antianxiety, antimicrobial, antimycotic and other pharmacological and chemical properties. In this article, antiviral and antiparasitic activities of triazole derivatives are discussed.
