To explore the practicability of C 60 synthesis under extreme conditions (high pressure and high temperature), trinitrotoluene (TNT), trinitramine (RDX) and graphite mixtures of different proportions were detonated in a vacuum container, and the detonation products were collected for detecting. The results of mass spectroscopy, high performance liquid chromatography showed significant signals of C 60, which proved that C 60 could be synthesized by detonating the mixture of TNT and graphite (in 6:4 and 7:3 mass ratio, respectively), the detonation pressure and temperature were calculated around 13 GPa and 2000 K, respectively. Both experiment results and theoretical analysis showed the importance of detonation pressure and cooling temperature in detonation synthesis of C 60.

Abstract The defatted flours of 43 colored and one white testa peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) genotypes were analyzed for flavonoids. Flavonoids were extracted from the flours with aqueous methanol, hydrolyzed, and the resulting aglycones analyzed by high pressure liquid chromatography with a variable wavelenth detector. The UV spectrum and retention time coupled with those of standards allowed for the tentative identification of the principal flavonoid aglycone as 5,7-dihydroxyisoflavone (DHI).

The study researchs on the hydrolysis process of food and feed samples using High Pressure Asher (HPA-S) to determine several amino acids by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). HPA-S equipment is mainly used for samples treatment in analysis of metals by spectroscopy. However, the study also found that HPA-S can be used in hydrolysis of food and feed samples in order to analyze amino acids. The temperature of HPA-S equipment could reach 300oC and maintain continuously at 130 bar pressure, completely digetsing the most complex samples matrix within an hour. The successful study of the application of HPA-S to hydrolyze samples in order to analyze amino acids makes the time of sample preparation significantly shorter but still gave the equivalent stability, even higher than the common samples hydrolyzation.
