In this study, some low-titanium aluminum alloys produced by electrolysis were prepared and the effect of various titanium contents on microstructure and tensile property of Zn-Al alloy was investigated. The test results showed that addition of titanium by electrolysis is an effective way to refine the grain size of Zn-Al alloy. As the titanium content is 0.04 wt%, the grain size becomes to be a minimum value and the tensile property of the alloy reaches to the maximum. Electrolysis showed that titanium atoms are to be some inherent particles in low-titanium aluminum alloy. These titanium atoms enter into the aluminum melt liquid and spread to the whole melt rapidly under stirring action of electromagnetic field of the electric current. The heterogeneous phase nuclei are high melting TiC and TiAl3 particles formed from in-situ precipitating trace C and Ti during cooling process. These in-situ precipitating heterogeneous nucleation sites with small dimension, high dispersity, cleaning interface and fine soakage with melt, have better capacity of heterogeneous nucleation than of exotic particles. It may inhibit grain growth faster and more effective in pinning dislocations, grain boundaries or sub-boundaries.

Composite admixtures which include active pozzolanic components and high-range water reducers, allows to obtain high-strength, particularly dense and durable concrete to achieve a reduction in resources and energy consumption of manufacturing.Zeolite, containing a significant amount of active silica, can serve as one of the alternative substances to resources and energy consuming mineral admixtures like metakaolin and silica fume. The deposits of zeolites are developed in Transcarpathia (Ukraine), USA, Japan, New Zealand, Iceland and other countries. It is known that zeolite tuffs exhibit pozzolanic properties and are capable to substitution reactions with calcium hydroxide. However, the high dispersion of zeolite rocks leads to a significant increase in the water consumption of concrete. Simultaneous introduction of zeolite tuffs with superplasticizers, which significantly reduce the water content, creates the preconditions for their effective use in high-strength concrete.Along with dehydrated (calcined) zeolite, natural (non-calcined) zeolite expresses itself as an effective mineral admixture of concrete. When using non-calcined zeolite, the effect of increasing in compressive strength at the age of 3 and 7 days is close to the effect obtained when using dehydrated zeolite: 8-10% and 10- 12%, respectively, and 28 days the strength growth is 13-22%. The use of non-calcined zeolite has a significant economic feasibility, so it certainly deserves attention. There were compared the effect of zeolite to metakaolinThe results of the research indicate that the use of composite admixtures, consisted of calcined (non-calcined) zeolite tuff of high dispersity and superplasticizer of naphthalene formaldehyde type, allows to obtain concretes classes C50…C65.

Chitosan-silica (CS-SiO2) hybrid microspheres were prepared through the combined process of sol-gel and emulsification-crosslinking. Their composition, morphology, in vitro bioactivity, and drug release behavior were investigated. The results showed that, when 20 wt% SiO2 was incorporated, the as-prepared CS-SiO2 hybrid microspheres exhibited a regular spherical shape, a high dispersity, and a uniform microstructure. Their average particle diameter was determined to be about 24.0 μm. The in situ deposited inorganic phase of the hybrid microspheres was identified as amorphous SiO2, and its actual content was determined by the TG analysis. As compared with the pure chitosan microspheres, the CS-SiO2 hybrid microspheres displayed a greatly improved in vitro bioactivity. Vancomycin hydrochloride (VH) was selected as a model drug. It was demonstrated that the CS-SiO2 hybrid microspheres presented a good capacity for both loading and sustained release of VH. Moreover, the increase of the SiO2 content efficiently slowed down the drug release rate of the CS-SiO2 hybrid microspheres.

The influence of increased dislocation density; dispersity of Ni-rich (Ti3Ni4and Ti2Ni3) particles and volume fraction of Ti-rich (Ti2Ni) particles on the low-cycle (high amplitude) and high-cycle (low amplitude) fatigue resistance of nitinol has been considered in this paper. It was revealed that the fatigue resistance of nitinol in low-cycle conditions may be improved by increasing the part of deformation which is realized by martensitic mechanism. This part may be estimated by measuring εcr, which can reflect the influence of the structure parameter both on σMand σslip. It was found that in high-cycle fatigue conditions the substructure of nitinol predominantly determine its fatigue resistance, which is being the better in samples that had higher dislocation density or high dispersity of Ni-rich particles (up to 30 nm).

A new synthetic technology of Strontium carbonate with ultrasonic is introduced in this article. Ultrasonic wave synthetic technology is a fast and novel method. Spherical SrCO3 powders were synthesized by changing the solvent and reaction conditions using the ultrasonic wave method. The SrCO3 powders were characterized by the XRD and SEM.The results show that the asprepared products were Spherical structure and with high dispersity, the average particle size of the SrCO3 powders synthesized by the ultrasonic wave synthetic technology is 0.3nm~ 0.5nm. Some reaction parameters were investigated during the process.
