Cloud computing services mature both economically and technologically and play a more and more extensive role in the domain of software and information systems engineering. SaaS offers advantage for both service providers and consumers. SaaS is faced with the question of appropriate techniques applying at early phase of Requirements engineering of producing system. The paper highlights two traditional methods namely i* and VORD belonging respectively to Goal oriented Requirements Engineering and Viewpoints approaches. The approach proposed try to dealing with the requirements elicitation in the context of Software-as-a-service SaaS. So, the approach benefits from strengths of both VORD and i* models and propose a combination of them in a new approach namely VORDi*.

Recently, global shipbuilding companies have been increasing their productivity or expanding their shipyards to accommodate a large amount of orders. However, few studies have been carried out on shipyard layout designs. This research presents a simulation-based shipyard layout design framework to resolve the problems of the shipyard layout design. The shipyard layout design framework was developed on the basis of the systems engineering method. The disciplined systems engineering technique was guided by ISO/IEC 15288 during the planning phase of the shipyard layout design framework development. This framework suggests how to achieve an efficient and effective shipyard layout design that can satisfy the stakeholder of the layout design process. Furthermore, a method is recommended for how the proposed shipyard layout should be verified and validated using a computer simulation. It is expected that the framework will contribute not only to the improvement of the existing shipyard layout design but also to the construction of the new shipyard or ship-yard advancement.

THE RESEARCH OBJECTIVES in this thesis is as evaluation of the implementation of Cloud Computing which has been in implementation in PT. Supranusa Sindata in order to develop into better again. METHODS were used in this study include the collection of journals and books as reference or grounding in analyzing. Data obtained from questionnaires to 100 respondents. The data were analyzed using factor analysis method after continued using regression analysis and designed with the IT Balanced Scorecard method. RESULTS OBTAINED is a form factor that can be used by PT. Supranusa Sindata to evaluate the implementation of Cloud Computing, technique systems engineering factors of cloud computing, cloud computing system management, performance measurement system of cloud computing, cloud computing system effectiveness. CONCLUSION with the model that can be used to evaluate the implementation of cloud computing and the design of strategic performance measurement using IT Balanced Scorecard is expected to grow so will affect the company's business performance and increase employee knowledge.

The ranking and selection of simulation optimization is a very powerful tool in systems engineering and operations research. Due to the influence of randomness, the algorithms for ranking and selection need high and uncertain amounts of computing power. Recent advances in cloud computing provide an economical and flexible platform to execute these algorithms. Among all ranking and selection algorithms, the optimal computing budget allocation (OCBA) algorithm is one of the most efficient. However, because of the lack of sufficient samples that can be executed in parallel at each stage, some features of the cloud-computing platform, such as parallelism, scalability, flexibility, and symmetry, cannot be fully utilized. To solve these problems, this paper proposes a distributed asynchronous OCBA (DA-OCBA) algorithm. Under the framework of parallel asynchronous simulation, this algorithm takes advantage of every idle docker container to run better designs in advance that are selected by an asymptotic allocation rule. The experiment demonstrated that the efficiency of simulation optimization for DA-OCBA was clearly higher than that for the traditional OCBA on the cloud platform with symmetric architecture. As the number of containers grew, the speedup of DA-OCBA was linearly increasing for simulation optimization.

Abstract Today, thanks to advances in cloud computing, it is possible for small teams of software developers to produce internet-scale products, a feat that was previously the preserve of large organizations. Herein, we describe how these advances in software engineering can be made more readily available to bioinformaticians. In the same way that cloud computing has democratized access to distributed systems engineering for generalist software engineers, access to scalable and reproducible bioinformatic engineering can be democratized for generalist bioinformaticians and biologists. We present solutions, based on our own efforts, to achieve this goal.

Abstract Gilead et al. offer a thoughtful and much-needed treatment of abstraction. However, it fails to build on an extensive literature on abstraction, representational diversity, neurocognition, and psychopathology that provides important constraints and alternative evidence-based conceptions. We draw on conceptions in software engineering, socio-technical systems engineering, and a neurocognitive theory with abstract representations of gist at its core, fuzzy-trace theory.
