Budget constrained sponsored search advertisers must decide how to allocate their advertisement budget across ad campaigns and individual keywords. In this paper, a simulation model that integrates the complex issues involved in keyword segmentation and campaign organization is used to evaluate performance of various budget allocation strategies. Using the buying funnel model as the basis for keyword segmentation and campaign organization, we analyze Volume-based, Cost-based, and Clicks-based budget allocation strategies and evaluate their performance implications for different firms. The simulation model is empirically evaluated using four Fortune 500 companies and their keyword data obtained from a leading provider of keyword research technology. The results and statistical analyses show significant improvements in budget utilization using the proposed allocation strategies over a Baseline commonly used in practice. The study offers useful insights into the budget allocation problem by leveraging a theoretical framework for keyword segmentation and campaign management.

The study determined the local planning and budget process of a highly urbanized local government unit (LGU) in Central Luzon, Philippines. It involves all department concerns and civil society organizations (CSOs) that use the City's local governance performance management system (LGPMS). The researchers used a descriptive research study to obtain the necessary data from a survey to seventy-five (75) rank and file employees. The researchers used a purposive sampling technique to gather the respondents involved in planning, budgeting, and managing programs and projects. With a self-made instrument that underwent validity, the researchers gathered the essential data for the study. The data were statistically analyzed using frequency, percentage distribution, analysis of variance (ANOVA), and t-test for independent variables. Preliminary results illustrated that respondents' status was in regular status as division head level, and their years of service were more than sixteen (16) years. The statistical analyses revealed no significant variations in the assessment on the budget allocation system of the local government unit (LGU) as determined on its indicators. The management also agrees that employees work effectively in the budget allocation of the local government unit. The study recommended the orientation and assessment on the current allocation and budget process wherein the department's prioritization can review the objectives and policy decisions.

This study aims to formulate a strategy for waste management through community participation in realizing good governance in Kupang City. This type of research is quantitative descriptive using a questionnaire with SWOT analysis. Respondents are residents of Kupang City. The results found that the increase in the population of the city of Kupang has an impact on increasing waste production. Even though waste production continues to increase, as the central government of NTT, stakeholders are trying to improve waste management and make Kupang a healthy, friendly and clean city. The strategies used are 1) synchronizing waste management programs and budgets between the City Government and stakeholders, 2) expanding the collaboration between the City Government and Universities in designing effective and efficient waste management technology, 3) advocating to build public awareness of waste management, 4) exploring opportunities for collaboration between The municipal government with third parties who are concerned with waste management including the preparation of waste processing volunteers, 5) soft skill trainings on waste management and joint budget waste management, 6) build and facilitate coordination with stakeholders and regular communication to the community through Kelurahan and RT/ RW, 7) budget allocation in the APBD to recruit field workers who are committed to managing waste, and the City Government budget allocation for spending on the procurement of public area trash cans that separate organic and non-organic waste.

This study aims to determine and propose appropriate recommendation to the top management of university on how to generate income through saving plan that can be implement by Human Resource Department at UPNM to strengthen the financial issue. This proposal is proposed to assist management team on how to rationalize limited financial issues that can affect financial crisis faced by the university nowadays. At present, all public universities in Malaysia faced a critical challenge due to insufficient financial budget allocation, where the Government's financial allocation is increasingly bubbling. All Universities have been urged to generate their own internal income aside from budget allocation to ensure that the dependency on the Government can be reduce. Hence, some of these significant arrangement need to be carefully strategize and plan by the management of university to generate extra revenue as an effort to encounter financial issues faced by the university. From this case study, the finding can be used to identify and assist Top management of university to overcome issues on revenue generating to support financial operation cost at UPNM.

For data analysis with differential privacy, an analysis task usually requires multiple queries to complete, and the total budget needs to be divided into different parts and allocated to each query. However, at present, the budget allocation in differential privacy lacks efficient and general allocation strategies, and most of the research tends to adopt an average or exclusive allocation method. In this paper, we propose two series strategies for budget allocation: the geometric series and the Taylor series. We show the different characteristics of the two series and provide a calculation method for selecting the key parameters. To better reflect a user’s preference of noise during the allocation, we explored the relationship between sensitivity and noise in detail, and, based on this, we propose an optimization for the series strategies. Finally, to prevent collusion attacks and improve security, we provide three ideas for protecting the budget sequence. Both the theoretical analysis and experimental results show that our methods can support more queries and achieve higher utility. This shows that our series allocation strategies have a high degree of flexibility which can meet the user’s need and allow them to be better applied to differentially private algorithms to achieve high performance while maintaining the security.
