AbstractA new shorter proof of the existence of index pairs for discrete dynamical systems is given. Moreover, the index pairs defined in that proof are stable with respect to small perturbations of the generating map. The existence of stable index pairs was previously known in the case of diffeomorphisms and flows generated by smooth vector fields but it was an open question in the general discrete case.

Zinc selenide (ZnSe) quantum dot thin films have been deposited onto microscope glass through chemical bath deposition both from original amonia free alkaline precursors and modified precursors with the adding of sodium citrate as complexing agents. The growth and optical properties of samples from original and modified precursors have been investigated. Its shown that the samples obtained with sodium citrate precursors are uniform and with stable index of refraction. And with the adding of sodium citrate, there is an increase in transmittance.

The results of three-year study of collection set of milletsamples, different originally (from 34 countries of theworld) and to biological status (local and plant-breedingsvarieties, lines) on a sign the "productivity" and to itsmaking elements in the contrasting weather terms ofgrowing are resulted in the article. The coefficients ofvariation and level of cross-correlation connections arecertain between these indexes. It is set that mostproductive were samples by an origin from Ukraine,Japan, India, Morocco and France. 20 high-yield samplesof millet are selected with a stable index on years, whichare recommended as a initial material for a selection onstabilizing of the productivity.

Objective As part of a strategy to consider the options for preventing the developmental entrenchment of expressed emotion (EE), we examine the early ontogeny of EE in a first-episode sample of individuals with psychosis and its links with the process of adaptation to change. Methods The key relatives of 50 first-episode psychosis patients from two locations were interviewed soon after patient referral and again 9 months later using measures of expressed emotion and loss. Results The developmental pathways of components of expressed emotion, particularly criticism and emotional over-involvement, were independent despite having a similar effect on outcome for patients. Initially, high levels of emotional over-involvement were reduced by follow up, with 37% resolving into high criticism. Overall expressed emotion status changed in 28.2% of key relatives (all parental), predominantly from high to low. High emotional over-involvement and low criticism are associated with significantly high levels of perceived loss in relatives. The metamorphosis of emotional over-involvement to criticism was linked to a reduction in perceived loss. Conclusions Expressed emotion is not a stable index in relatives of first-episode psychosis samples. Appraisals of loss by relatives may be driving high emotional over-involvement with implications for family intervention programs. Attachment theory may help to explain some of the processes underlying resistance to change in some of the high-EE behaviours measured by expressed emotion.

Transport of an inertial Brownian particle driven by the multiplicative Lévy noise was investigated here. Numerical results indicate that: (i) The Lévy noise is able to induce absolute negative mobility (ANM) in the system, while disappearing in the deterministic case; (ii) the ANM can occur in the region of superdiffusion while disappearing in the region of normal diffusion, and the appropriate stable index of the Lévy noise makes the particle move along the opposite direction of the bias force to the maximum degree; (iii) symmetry breaking of the Lévy noise also causes the ANM effect. In addition, the intrinsic physical mechanism and conditions for the ANM to occur are discussed in detail. Our results have the implication that the Lévy noise plays an important role in the occurrence of the ANM phenomenon.
