In production engineering, monitoring of the grinding process is critical for acquiring information on material removal, wheel performance and workpiece quality. Here, a general model of the power signal and material removal rate is proposed to monitor the internal plunge grinding of a bearing outer race way product. Three continuous grinding cycles after dressing were used to analyse the roughing, semi-finishing, finishing and spark-out process under the same parameters. Based on the actual grinding process, a practical analysis method is applied to improve the general model to more accurately predict the power curve. Finally, estimations of grinding wheel performance and grind quality using the grinding power signal model coefficients are also presented. The experimental results showed that the improved power signal model is capable of solving the industrial problem of multi-stage infeed grinding cycles and improving grind quality.

An iron ore contains specularite and hematite which are its main iron minerals and carbonates such as calcite which are its main gangue minerals. The ore is very apt to produce slime in the grinding process, leading to a deteriorated beneficiability. The rough iron concentrate can be obtained by using high gradient magnetic separator to discard tailings with the grinding fineness of 95% -0.074mm. Then the rough concentrate is treated by reverse flotation to produce a final concentrate with the operation recovery of 66.49% and the iron grade of 66.12%,and the total recovery of iron could reach58.70%.

SiJiaYing's iron ore is fine grain hematite and gangue mineral is quartz, chlorite, black mica and parts of clay mineral.Grinding process is tend to argillation, which seriously impact the subsequent strong magnetic and flotation thick operation. This paper mainly conduct ball mill sphere diameter, ball ratio and the grinding effect factor test, which including medium filling ratio, grinding concentration and so on.By compared experiments optimize, grinding process and improve the grinding effect.
