Modeling is a great approach to analyze long-term consequences of policy options in manufacturing. In this chapter two modeling approaches are discussed for understanding the intertwined relationships among factors which influence the performance and competitiveness of manufacturing: the system dynamics approach and the quantitative survey approach. The system dynamics approach is used to develop a conceptual model of the strategic issues that influence the performance and competitiveness of manufacturing, and the results of a quantitative survey are used to understand the actual extent of the influences of various factors in the current situation.

Cases of osteonecrosis of the jaw, insufficiency fractures and atypical low energy or atraumatic fractures of pelvis, femur (subtrochanteric/mid-shaft/distal-third), tibia, fibula, metatarsal, humerus, and ulna related to long-term bisphosphonate therapy have been reported in the literature. We present the case of an acute nontraumatic clavicle fracture, associated with long-term bisphosphonate therapy, which to our knowledge has not been reported previously. This case highlights the need of critical evaluation of patients with atypical fractures during long-term bisphosphonate therapy.

The research analyzed Pangzhuang mining site as case study and studied the current situation of the site from varies aspects, such as land use, economy and transportation system etc. Some strategies are further developed to recycle the declined mining site. The objectives of the mining site regeneration are established based on the study. The recycle planning contents are further elaborate from three aspects of function layout, industry development and road system. According to the planning objectives, the paper summarizes short term and long term targets.

Wise leadership (education) will direct its ranks to wise teaching as well, grow from honing the main vision of teaching, gathering and reflecting various relevant information about the development of the current situation and embodying clarity of vision, and building further steps from the development of the current situation , and hierarchically compiled a team to study and implement all developments by holding on to the main normative keys of the Qur'an and Hadith. The purpose of this study is to describe efforts to support wise educational leadership: imperative leadership and steps to advance learning programs in order to prepare for 21st century education as a century of knowledge in the perspective of the Qur'an. From the discussion it was concluded that: to advance education and learning programs in schools, the school ranks, especially the principal, as the motorbike do the following things: 1) guided by the main key to change, namely the Qur'an and Hadith; 2) linking school elements and stakeholders in adjusting various aspects of the system and educator practices that contribute to learning achievement; 3) explore data updates on externally locally, regionally and nationally in order to identify current problems and plan internal improvements; 4) planning the development of educational programs to improve student achievement (short and long term); 5) consider the benefits of building support for change in improving educational programs from teachers, administrators, students, parents, education boards, and the wider community

Based on the practical experience of power grid planning, the general characteristics and main problems of the receiving-end grid are summarized, and the ideas and methods of external power receiving planning are put forward. Combined with the current situation, the pattern of power supply and demands of a typical recipient power network in China, this paper analysed the reasonable scale of power receiving, the proportion of AC/DC power transmitted and the infeed AC/DC terminal location for long-term development, and conducts comprehensive technical and economic comparisons among various feasible external power receiving schemes to form a recommended scheme

A 35-year-old man with juvenile idiopathic arthritis since childhood presented with bilateral atypical tibial fractures, followed by a later, single atypical fracture of the femur. The fractures were associated with 6 years of oral alendronate treatment immediately followed by subcutaneous denosumab therapy and later teriparatide therapy for osteoporosis. Atypical fractures are known to occur in the femur following bisphosphonate therapy; however, there are only a few documented cases of atypical fractures in the tibia. Our case highlights a rare but serious complication of a commonly prescribed antiresorptive agent. It also shows that teriparatide, while helpful in increasing bone mass, does not fully prevent the development of atypical fractures. Careful investigation should be considered in patients on long-term antiresorptive therapy presenting with bony tenderness to exclude an atypical fracture.

The conclusion of this chapter is that in the year 2009, the norms in this field are not yet fully present; that by making use of these norms in procurement, buyers will be able to arrive at more sustainable ICT; that from the current situation, consolidation alone could without any problem, enable achievement of the long-term agreement between the Dutch ICT trade organization and the Dutch government, an agreement in which over a period of 25 years starting in 2005, 2% less energy should be used every year; that every data centre needs to map its energy consumption and sustainability systematically, and that in 2009, over 50% over the annually installed ICT equipment in the Netherlands is recycled.
