The effective functioning of any sector of agriculture is provided with adequate comprehensive state support. Aquaculture is no exception. The paper discloses the content of state support for agricultural activities in the field of aquaculture. The legislation defining directions and general principles of aquaculture development are analyzed. It is established that support for aquaculture activities by the state should be carried out by every possible means both in the economic and other areas: encouragement to produce naturally safe aquaculture products that can compete with the markets of other countries; financial promotion of breeding; improving fish productivity of water bodies through artificial restoration of water living resources; restoration of the proportion of populations of endangered and rare species of animals and plants whose habitat is water; promoting the development of own production of aquaculture feed; carrying out research and development in the field of aquaculture for their financing and introduction of results into production; financial support; providing training for highly qualified aquaculture professionals; promoting sustainable aquaculture production, etc. Financial, organizational and legal mechanisms of state support in the field of aquaculture are considered. This research aims to develop a sustainable aquaculture system using single-sex nilem fish in trophic level-based farming and to analyze the feeding habits, types of meal and preference level of the feed in nilem farmed in Cirata Reservoir. In addition, it also aims to determine the fish's ability as a biocontrol agent for water cleaning by measuring the ability to utilize periphyton attached to the floating nets. Research conducted at the Laboratory of Ciparanje, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Universitas Padjadjaran and floating nets of Cirata reservoir. Observation of the performance of biological testing and food feeding applies the experimental design method of Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting 5 treatments and 3 replications. The five treatments include non-artificial feeding (treatment A), 1% feeding of body weight per day (treatment B), 2% feeding of body weight per day (treatment C), 3% of feeding of body weight per day (treatment D), and 4% feeding of body weight per day (treatment E). The results showed there was no difference in the survival and growth levels of the female single-sex fish given both commercial and non-commercial feed. The highest feed efficiency was observed in the 3% of commercial feeding treatment, amounting to 55.30%. The fish are herbivorous and generalist with trophic levels between 1.03% and 1.45% eating planktons for living. Fish fed with artificial food to 4% of the biomass still graze on phytoplankton as the main source of food, but adapt by changing the natural feeding and tend to be ineffective in utilizing the available food resources in the waters. During the study, the types and amount of periphyton attached to the nets have decreased. Higher commercial feeding level results in the higher density of periphyton in the floating nets.

Abstract The authors of this article describe the experience of biotechnology for growing Australian crayfish in conditions of pond cultivation in a group of ponds, operating in an intensive mode, used in an isolated area close by a natural water source in the Astrakhan region. In the presented article, research is aimed to clarify the main biotechnological indicators that increase the efficiency of cultivation in pond conditions. The conditions of transportation, the duration of transportation, and the density of crayfish in ponds with an area of 1 hectare have been clarified. The presented food recipe with the specification of the percentage of nutrients as additional feeding, organized when growing in ponds according to the food recipe itself, increases not only the growth rate but also the hemolymph protein concentration, which indirectly proves the satisfactory conditions for keeping aquaculture objects. Monitoring for the biotechnology of growing Australian crayfish in pond conditions: own developed food recipe, biological and physiological testing of key indicators such as hydrochemical indicators of water, hydrobiological indicators of the concentration of, and physiological indicators for determining the so-called biotechnological norm, which will add additional missing information on this aquaculture object.
