Fisheries are one of the agricultural sub-sectors that play an important role in contributing to income figures for the state and the region because most of Indonesia's territory is water so that the fisheries sector is a sub-sector that is feasible to be developed in this country, one of which is through aquaculture. One of the efforts that can increase and maintain productivity in the aquaculture sector is to classify provinces that produce aquaculture production into groups based on the similarity of characteristics possessed by each province in Indonesia. In this study, clustering was carried out using cluster analysis using the average linkage method and based on the analysis results obtained showed that cluster 1 consists of 25 provinces, cluster 2 consists of 5 provinces, cluster 3 consists of 2 provinces, cluster 4 consists of 1 province, and cluster 5 consists of 1 province with a standard deviation value within a cluster of 11,729 and a standard deviation between clusters of 118,745.

Not only does the Hoa Binh reservoir play essential roles in water storage for electricity generation and flood regulation, but also it has great potential to aid aquaculture production. Presently, aquaculture production sits at around 9,200 tons/year; however, a recent MARD circular (#16 in 2015) estimated that maximum production would approach 10,000 tons/year in the productive photic zone. This paper supports increased capacity towards a sustainable commodity production model by optimizing production levels and farming practices. To reach this goal, it is necessary to determine water quality parameters using the Relative Water Quality Index (ReWQI) and carrying capacity (CC) analysis. Data was obtained from 30 sites at upstream, midstream, and downstream sections of the reservoir during the 2019 dry and wet seasons. The results from the ReWQI reflected good water quality potential (rated between 92-100) for aquaculture. The total nitrogen (TN) and total phosphorus (TP) levels of 10,794.9 kg/day and 1,965.4 kg/day, respectively, indicate high biological productivity resulting in strong fish growth potential. CC analysis and overall water quality reflect the potential for sustainable and increased productivity to 22,730.4 tons/year, which is an increase in production of over 13,200 tons/year compared to the current period. To reach a higher yield of 40 kg/year/m3 within each cage (5,040 kg/cage/year), the corresponding increase in number needs to be 4,510 cages based on a common cage size of 126 m3 (6x6x3.5 m). In order to reach these future production goals, this work concludes that the local government should begin spatial planning decisions based on appropriate cage allocation and distribution with respect for regular monitoring of water quality and nutrient load capacity of the environment to reach sustainable aquaculture development.

Abstract The analyze of dynamic of quantity and composition of the Russian catches in the Sea of Azov, Black and Caspian Seas in the 21st century was made. It has been shown that catches decrease with a simultaneous increase in the proportion of marine fish proper. The analyze of aquaculture development in southern regions is provided and also identified the prospects for its development in the near future. Currently, there is a positive dynamics of growth in the production of commercial fish farming products. Since 2000 this parameter has decreased from 77 to 328 thousand tons in 2020. The volume of aquaculture in the southern regions of the country in 2020 amounted to more than 78 thousand tons, which is 24% of the total Russian. In Rostov and Astrakhan region, Krasnodar territory obtained 90.6% aquaculture production. The perspective ways are pasture aquaculture, ponds and industrial fish farming, recreational aquaculture, mariculture. The expansion of the species diversity of farmed fish is possible both due to the aboriginal ichthyofauna and the use of previously acclimatized species.

Feed is the major inputs in aquaculture production which affects the development growth of aquaculture in the African continent. Extruded fish feeds are dried to desire moisture content to increase the shelf life. Conventional method of drying fish feeds had gained attention recently in Nigeria in order to reduce high cost of producing fish feeds. However, this method is still grossly underutilized. Extrude floating fish feed was dried using continuous belt dryer at drying air temperature from 60°C to 100°C at an interval of 10°C, velocity of air using for drying from 0.8 m s-1 to 1.0 m s-1 at an interval of 0.1 m s-1 using a constant linear belt speed of 50 m s-1. Various moisture contents gotten at different conditions were changed to ratio of the dried extrudates moisture so as to obtain curves of drying by plotting the ratio of moisture against time. The dried extrudates behaviour was determined by fixing the drying curves with five well known models. Model with high determination coefficient and low reduced chi-square, low standard error, low value of least square and low standard deviation error (SEE) was used as best model. Midilli et al model was found suitable in describing the behaviour of extruded fish feed during drying. The temperature of air used for drying was discovered to have a major influence on the drying kinetics of the extruded fish feeds based on the conditions of this experiment.

Abstract Non-indigenous parasite fauna of freshwater fish has not been studied extensively in Croatia, despite the long history of introductions and translocations of alien fish species into inland waters. Negative implications for aquaculture production and wild native fish species have been frequently associated with the introduction of non-native parasite species. Hence, the present paper attempts to lay out a historical overview of the suspected localities, time frames and pathways of introduction for non-indigenous fish parasites into inland waters of Croatia, therefore producing a list of species. In total, 16 non-native fish parasites have been recorded in inland waters of Croatia, aquaculture establishments being identified as initial points of introduction. However, a paucity of information exists on the overall prevalence of infection as well as the economic impact on aquaculture production. In addition, limited information is available about the presence and potential ecological impact of non-indigenous parasites on endemic fish fauna in areas of high biodiversity, such as the water bodies of the Adriatic Sea Basin. Therefore, there is an urgent need and opportunity for multidisciplinary cooperation between different stakeholders, including government, scientists, in both biological and veterinary disciplines, and the industry, with the aim of extensive surveys to determine the potential impact on aquaculture production and wild fish population of high conservation value.

Smart aquaculture is nowadays one of the sustainable development trends for the aquaculture industry in intelligence and automation. Modern intelligent technologies have brought huge benefits to many fields including aquaculture to reduce labor, enhance aquaculture production, and be friendly to the environment. Machine learning is a subdivision of artificial intelligence (AI) by using trained algorithm models to recognize and learn traits from the data it watches. To date, there are several studies about applications of machine learning for smart aquaculture including measuring size, weight, grading, disease detection, and species classification. This review provides and overview of the development of smart aquaculture and intelligent technology. We summarized and collected 100 articles about machine learning in smart aquaculture from nearly 10 years about the methodology, results as well as the recent technology that should be used for development of smart aquaculture. We hope that this review will give readers interested in this field useful information.
