In Australia, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people score poorly on national mainstream indicators of wellbeing, with the lowest outcomes recorded in remote communities. As part of a ‘shared space’ collaboration between remote Aboriginal communities, government and scientists, the holistic Interplay Wellbeing Framework and accompanying survey were designed bringing together Aboriginal priorities of culture, empowerment and community with government priorities of education, employment and health. Quantitative survey data were collected from a cohort of 841 Aboriginal people aged 15–34 years, from four different Aboriginal communities. Aboriginal community researchers designed and administered the survey. Structural equation modelling was used to identify the strongest interrelating pathways within the framework. Optimal pathways from education to employment were explored with the concept of empowerment playing a key role. Here, education was defined by self-reported English literacy and numeracy and empowerment was defined as identity, self-efficacy and resilience. Empowerment had a strong positive impact on education (β = 0.38, p < .001) and strong correlation with employment (β = 0.19, p < .001). Education has a strong direct effect on employment (β = 0.40, p < .001). This suggests that education and employment strategies that foster and build on a sense of empowerment are mostly likely to succeed, providing guidance for policy and programs.

Contemporary research on disorders in modern-day work environment marks burnout among employees in different professions as an important disorder with serious consequences. Practice has shown that recruiters are one of the professions frequently facing burnout. The relationship between burnout, work engagement and turnover intention has often been investigated in the literature. However, even though scholars are increasingly interested in these relationships in other professions, there is a growing need for studies evaluating the relationship between the three concepts among human resource (HR) professionals, particularly recruiters. Having this in mind, the aim of this study is to identify, understand and examine the relationship between burnout, engagement and turnover intention of recruiters in Serbia. The data was collected using an online questionnaire within a sample of 100 recruiters in Serbia. Copenhagen Burnout Inventory was used for measuring burnout, UWES-9 for measuring work engagement and TIS-6 for measuring turnover intention. Structural equation modelling (SEM) was used for evaluating the relationships between burnout, turnover intention and work engagement. The results of the research showed that work engagement has a negative impact on burnout and that burnout has a positive impact on turnover intention, while the relationship between work engagement and turnover intention was not confirmed. The correlation analysis confirmed all three examined relationships. The results largely support the findings from the literature for other professions confirming that employees who suffer from a high degree of burnout are more likely to have a turnover intention. Finally, the implications of these results and recommendations for organizations and recruiters themselves to prevent and decrease burnout are discussed. The findings of this study can make a contribution to the specific academic literature on burnout among recruiters and initiate further research on this topic of high interest.

The theory about the impact of farm size, income and assets on the environmental approach of farmers is ambiguous. We contribute to the existing discussion in two ways. Firstly, we look for the determinants of the environmental approach. Secondly, we treat farm size as a heterogeneous factor, affected not only by the value of assets but also flows of incomes. The main objective of the article is, therefore, to recognize the impact of assets and income on the environmental approach of agricultural producers. We analyze the results of surveys carried out in 2020 on a group of 120 farms from the Wielkopolska region (Poland), using structural equation modelling (generalized structural equation modelling (GSEM)-multiple indicators and multiple causes (MIMIC) model). Our results indicate that both the income and assets of the agricultural producers have a positive impact on their approach to the environment. However, to a greater extent, the farmer’s approach to the environment is influenced more by income than by assets. This may be influenced by the capitalization of subsidies in the price of agricultural land, which makes this element of farm assets detached from real processes. It is easier for farms with a higher income and assets to realize the orientation towards sustainability.

In the late 1970s thousands of Indigenous Australians initiated a movement back to the ancestral lands they had been removed from during the assimilationist era. Less than 50 years since their return to country, Aboriginal people living in Western Australia’s (WA) remote communities are again grappling with their impending redispossession. Wa Premier Colin Barnett’s announcement late last year was panic inducing: It is a problem that I do not want and the government does not want, but it is a reality. There are something like 274 Aboriginal communities in Western Australia—I think 150 or so of those are in the Kimberley itself—and they are not viable. They are not viable and they are not sustainable . . . I am foreshadowing that a number of communities are inevitably going to close.

Kata Kunci: scarcity marketing; limited-time scarcity; perceived value; limited-quantity scarcity; purchase intention Abstract - This study examines the role of scarcity marketing and perceived value on purchase intention of Traveloka users. Scarcity marketing in this study acts as an independent variable which is divided into 2 types of scarcity, limited-time scarcity (X1) and limited-quantity scarcity (X2). Perceived value (Y1) as a mediating variable and purchase intention (Y2) as the dependent variable. The method used for this research is quantitative and the data collected by distributing questionnaires to 100 Traveloka users which has ever seen scarcity marketing on Traveloka promos and has made at least 2x transactions in the last 2 years. Furthermore, Structural Equation Modelling - Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) was used as the data analysis technique. Based on the data analysis results through SmartPLS software, found that limited-quantity scarcity had a significant and positive effect on perceived value. In adition the two types of scarcity marketing also had significant and positive impact on purchase intention. Keywords: scarcity marketing; limited-time scarcity; perceived value; limited-quantity scarcity; purchase intention

Corporate social responsibility (CSR) issues in developing markets have acquired a lot of attention. Organisations around the globe apply a diversified set of technologies to approaching customer expectations through banking performance. This study examines the impact of CSR on Lebanese banking performance. Primary data from questionnaires were used. A total of 1000 observations were collected using a 5-point Likert scale method adopted to formulate the items. The questionnaire was tested to assess its trustworthiness regarding data collection. Partial least square structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM) was used to test the hypothesis. The overall results demonstrated the significance of CSR in terms of meeting customers’ expectations and maintaining banking performance. All CSR dimensions demonstrated a positive impact on customer expectations and Lebanese banking performance. Moreover, customer expectations proved to be a mediator between CSR and banking performance, although there was partial mediation between CSR and banking performance.

Access to effective services and programs is necessary to improve wellbeing for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people living in remote Australia. Without genuine participation of Aboriginal community members in the design, governance, and delivery of services, desired service delivery outcomes are rarely achieved. Using a "shared space" model, Aboriginal communities, governments, and scientists came together to design and develop the Interplay Wellbeing Framework. This Framework brings together stories and numbers (or qualitative and quantitative data) to represent community values for the purpose of informing program and policy agendas. This article unpacks what community members saw as making a service work well and why. The domains of empowerment and community functioning are discussed and their relationship to effective service delivery demonstrated.

AbstractThe present study replicates previous surveys in examining Hong Kong employees' organisational commitment, intention to leave, job satisfaction, self-perceived performance, and motivational job characteristics. The results suggest few changes over the four year period examined, despite the 1997 transition to China approaching. Structural equation modelling was used to examine the dimensionality of the organisational commitment scale used and the impacts of aspects of organisational commitment on various human resource outcomes were examined. The results confirmed the three commitment dimensions proposed by the scale's developers and suggested that continuance commitment has the strongest relationship with people's intention to leave, value commitment has the strongest relationship with job satisfaction and also has a positive impact on performance.
