AbstractWe investigate the propagation of accretion-powered jets in various types of progenitor candidates of GRBs. We perform two dimensional axisymmetric simulations of relativistic hydrodynamics taking into account both the envelope collapse and the jet propagation. In our simulations, the accretion rate is estimated by the mass flux going through the inner boundary, and the jet is injected with a constant accretion-to-jet conversion efficiency η. By varying the efficiency η and opening angle θop for more than 30 models, we find that the jet can make a relativistic breakout from all types of progenitors for GRBs if a simple condition η ≳ 10−3 (θop/20°)2 is satisfied, that is consistent with analytical estimates, otherwise no explosion or some failed spherical explosions occur.

Entropy generation in bioconvection two-dimensional steady incompressible non-Newtonian Oldroyd-B nanofluid with Cattaneo–Christov heat and mass flux theory is investigated. The Darcy–Forchheimer law is used to study heat and mass transfer flow and microorganisms motion in porous media. Using appropriate similarity variables, the partial differential equations are transformed into ordinary differential equations which are then solved by homotopy analysis method. For an insight into the problem, the effects of various parameters on different profiles are shown in different graphs.

To describe the explosive flow in thin tubes the model of vapor-liquid mixture with heat and mass transfer in two-dimensional axisymmetric formulation is employed. The phase transformation is significantly amplified with increasing of initial saturation temperature. The radial expansion of the jet outflow occurs due to the intensification of vaporization from cylindrical to conical form and parabolic form for supercritical initial state. Another problem applied to the outflow of a detonation wave in liquid filled with chemically active gas bubbles from the thin cylindrical tube. Modeling shows the important role of the opening angle of the outflow jet, which can either support the detonation or put it down.

AbstractA two-dimensional sheet model for solar filaments (Kippenhahn and Schluter configuration) is considered. We investigate, the quasi-static evolution of gravito-magnetohydrostatic equlibria in exploring the response of massive current sheets to a slow continuous variation of the mass/flux ratio with fixed boundary conditions. A catastrophic behavior of the field topology is found to occur in the sequence following the formation of a cusp point (bifurcation).
