Migraineurs with and without aura (MWAs and MWOAs) as well as controls were measured twice with an interval of 7 days. The first session of recordings and tests for migraineurs was held about 7 hours after a migraine attack. We hypothesized that electrophysiological changes in the posterior cerebral cortex related to visual spatial attention are influenced by the level of arousal in migraineurs with aura, and that this varies over the course of time. ERPs related to the active visual attention task manifested significant differences between controls and both types of migraine sufferers for the N200, suggesting a common pathophysiological mechanism for migraineurs. Furthermore, migraineurs without aura (MWOAs) showed a significant enhancement for the N200 at the second session, indicating the relevance of time of measurement within migraine studies. Finally, migraineurs with aura (MWAs) showed significantly enhanced P240 and P300 components at central and parietal cortical sites compared to MWOAs and controls, which seemed to be maintained over both sessions and could be indicative of increased noradrenergic activity in MWAs.

Anthropogenic disturbances in the Chesapeake Bay (USA) have depleted eastern oyster Crassostrea virginica abundance and altered the estuary’s environment and water quality. Efforts to rehabilitate oyster populations are underway; however, the effect of oyster biodeposits on water quality and plankton community structure are not clear. In July 2017, we used 6 shear turbulence resuspension mesocosms (STURMs) to determine differences in plankton composition with and without the daily addition of oyster biodeposits to a muddy sediment bottom. STURM systems had a volume-weighted root mean square turbulent velocity of 1.08 cm s-1, energy dissipation rate of ~0.08 cm2 s-3, and bottom shear stress of ~0.36-0.51 Pa during mixing-on periods during 4 wk of tidal resuspension. Phytoplankton increased their chlorophyll a content in their cells in response to low light in tanks with biodeposits. The diatom Skeletonema costatum bloomed and had significantly longer chains in tanks without biodeposits. These tanks also had significantly lower concentrations of total suspended solids, zooplankton carbon, and nitrite +nitrate, and higher phytoplankton carbon concentrations. Results suggest that the absence of biodeposit resuspension initiates nitrogen uptake for diatom reproduction, increasing the cell densities of S. costatum. The low abundance of the zooplankton population in non-biodeposit tanks suggests an inability of zooplankton to graze on S. costatum and negative effects of S. costatum on zooplankton. A high abundance of the copepod Acartia tonsa in biodeposit tanks may have reduced S. costatum chain length. Oyster biodeposit addition and resuspension efficiently transferred phytoplankton carbon to zooplankton carbon, thus supporting the food web in the estuary.

The number of mononitrosyl iron complexes with diethyldithiocarbamate, formed in the liver of mice in vivo and in vitro after intraperitoneal injection of binuclear dinitrosyl iron complexes with N-acetyl-L-cysteine or glutathione, S-nitrosoglutathione, sodium nitrite or the vasodilating drug Isoket® was assessed by electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR). The number of the said complexes, in contrast to the complexes, formed after nitrite or Isoket administration, the level of which sharply increased after treatment of liver preparations with a strong reducing agent - dithionite, did not change in the presence of dithionite. It was concluded that, in the first case, EPR-detectable mononitrosyl iron complexes with diethyldithiocarbamate in the absence and presence of dithionite appeared as a result of the reaction of NO formed from nitrite with Fe2+-dieth- yldithiocarbamate and Fe3+-diethyldithiocarbamate complexes, respectively. In the second case, mononitrosyl iron complexes with diethyldithiocarbamate appeared as a result of the transition of iron-mononitosyl fragments from ready-made iron-dinitrosyl groups of binuclear dinitrosyl complexes, which is three to four times higher than the content of the mononuclear form of these complexes in the tissue...

During this recent two decades, national economy sharia continiue growth.Though it just still smaller compare to the existing of conventional finance, itconscioused the growth of sharia finance currently has a significant enhancement. Thepositive and stable economy performance has given good opportunities to thedevelopment of sharia economy in Indonesia. The existence of syariah economy inIndonesia, who has a muslim mayority, is a new point of national economy history.Sharia banking is one of the tools for developing national economy sharia. Manyproducts offered by national sharia banking, which includes basic principles ofimplementation with profit sharing. One of them is Bai’ Bithaman Ajil, which is the partof trading (Baiah). Bai’ Bithaman Ajil product is expected as an alternative for society tochoose sharia banking as a mediator in transaction, specially to fulfill production needsas well as consumption needs, whose transactions are done on a long-term credit.

Aim and Objective: During the investigation of sodium nitrite-catalyzed oxidative coupling reaction of aryls, an unprecedented C(sp2)-H and C(sp3)-H coupling of substituted 2-aryl acetonitrile was found. Materials and Methods: The structure of the coupled product was confirmed by 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy and high-resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS), and comparison of its derivatives with known compounds. The effects of methoxy group in the benzene ring on the reaction were evaluated. Results: The optimized reaction conditions are summarized as follows: CF3SO3H/substrate = 1.5 equiv., NaNO2/substrate = 0.3 equiv., CH3CN as solvent. 2-(4-Methoxyphenyl)acetonitrile and 2-(3,4,5- trimethoxyphenyl)acetonitrile could also generate C(sp2)-H and C(sp3)-H coupling. The coupling reaction occurred as a typical radial mechanism. Conclusion: An unprecedented cyano-induced, NaNO2-catalyzed oxidative C(sp3)-H and C(sp2)-H coupling was reported. The reaction proceeded under very mild conditions, using O2 in the air as terminal oxidant. The unique oxidative manner might provide more inspiration for the development of intriguing oxidative coupling reactions.
