Strengthening of parts and units of machines, increased reliability and longer service life is an important task of modern industry. As an promising materials for protective-strengthening coatings, offered matrix composites based on the ternary system Fe-B-FenB. The article is proposed the complex heating of steel being borated and imbued medium by high frequency currents (HFC), and to combine the diffusion boriding from liquid and solid media and the transition of the diffusion boriding to chemical interaction between the elements of Fe and B. We determined the main components of the reaction-boronizing system, as well as their roles and possible processes that lead to the implementation of topochemical boriding initiated by HFC-heating. Confirmed the course of the reaction leading to the occurrence of reducing agents Ca, Si and active boron in the boronizing mixture.

The paper presents studies boride coatings, which were created using high-frequency treatment with currents. Chemical reactions characterized the boriding procedure at various temperatures are show. The choice of the main element, of the reaction-boriding scheme is characterize, their role is revealed, and the probable processes leading to the realization of topochemical boriding initiated by HFC-heating are established. The kinetic curves received during the test at different temperatures are showed. Anamorphoses of the kinetic curves are showed, and the values of activation energy and parameters of the boriding process using HFC-heating are calculated on the basis of linearization of the Arrhenius equation.

The assessment of the limiting state of high-speed machine-manual taps in the processing of structural steel billets is considered. A general multi-parameter dependence is developed for calculating the criterion of allowable wear, which makes it possible to rationally use the tool life and normalize the cut amount during regrinding. Keywords thread cutting, tap, angle of the cutting part, criterion, high-speed steel, wear, failure, life, service life. [email protected]

Background: Gentianella acuta (Michx.) Hulten is an important type of medicinal plant found in several Chinese provinces. It has been widely used in folk medicine to treat various illnesses. However, there is not enough detailed information about the chemical constituents of this plant or methods for their content determination. Objective: The focus of this work is the isolation and characterization of the major chemical constituents of Gentianella acuta, and developing an analytical method for their determination. Methods: The components of Gentianella acuta were isolated using (1) ethanol extraction and adsorption on macroporous resin. (2) and ethyl acetate extraction and high speed countercurrent chromatography. A HPLC-DAD method was developed using a C18 column and water-acetonitrile as the mobile phase. Based on compound polarities, both isocratic and gradient elution methods were developed. Results: A total of 29 compounds were isolated from this plant, of which 17 compounds were isolated from this genus for the first time. The main components in this plant were found to be xanthones. The HPLC-DAD method was developed and validated for their determination, and found to show good sensitivity and reliability. Conclusion: The results of this work add to the limited body of work available on this important medicinal plant. The findings will be useful for further investigation and development of Gentianella acuta for its valuable medicinal properties.

Many studies have proved the service life of cutter can be prolonged by electrolytic strengthening. Based on the theory of electrolytic strengthening technology, this paper introduced and developed prototype equipment for strengthening cutting edge of rotary cutter and put forward a calculation method of total electric quantity consumption during the electrolysis suitable for microcontroller. The M8 high-speed steel tap is taken as a strengthening example. After finished the strengthening process that it clearly see the results of the surface of tap was obviously polished by observing the micrograph. This equipment improves the reliability of electrolytic strengthening and the cost is relatively cheap.

High Frequency Trading (HFT), mainly based on high speed infrastructure, is a significant element of the trading industry. However, trading machines generate enormous quantities of trading messages that are difficult to explore for financial researchers and traders. Visualization tools of financial data usually focus on portfolio management and the analysis of the relationships between risk and return. Beside risk-return relationship, there are other aspects that attract financial researchers like liquidity and moments of flash crashes in the market. HFT researchers can extract these aspects from HFT data since it shows every detail of the market movement. In this paper, we present HFTViz, a visualization tool designed to help financial researchers explore the HFT dataset provided by NASDAQ exchange. HFTViz provides a comprehensive dashboard aimed at facilitate HFT data exploration. HFTViz contains two sections. It first proposes an overview of the market on a specific date. After selecting desired stocks from overview visualization to investigate in detail, HFTViz also provides a detailed view of the trading messages, the trading volumes and the liquidity measures. In a case study gathering five domain experts, we illustrate the usefulness of HFTViz.

The work presents the results of application of panoramic interferential technique which is based on elastic layers (sensors) usage to obtain pressure distribution on the flat plate having sharp leading edge. Experiments were done in supersonic wind tunnel at Mach number M = 4. Sensitivity and response time are shown to be enough to register pressure pulsation against standing and traveling sensor surface waves. Applying high-frequency image acquiring is demonstrated to make possible to distinguish at visualization images high-speed disturbances propagating in the boundary layer from low-speed surface waves
