It is established that the problem of digital cartographic support for geodynamic safety based on UAV technologies is the following: on the one hand, a significant increase in accuracy and efficiency of survey work and on the other hand – the lack of new models for approximating the crustal blocks, taking into account the adequacy of their configuration, hierarchy, structure, interaction and geodynamic activity. Traditional technologies are focused on the use of flat models of crustal blocks, which are not adequate and give ambiguous state parameters. The aim of the research is to develop a theory of digital cartographic support for the geodynamic safety of subsurface use, which provides not only the creation of new models of blocks of the earth’s crust based on their selection and identification, taking into account the accuracy of cartographic materials, but also provides an information basis for gaining new knowledge about their stress-strain state according to the structure hierarchy which is necessary to solve this problem. Based on the performed research, it was found that the morphostructural analysis of the cartographic materials of the territory in the area of the mining enterprise, obtained on the basis of UAV technologies, is more informative and automated, covers the latest period up to one million years and takes into account the dependence of their errors on the duration and relaxation of geodynamic processes . The practical use of this theory is safe subsoil use.

There is deep tension within mainstream citizenship theory. On the one hand, citizenship is often defined in terms of social membership, such that all those affected or all those governed should be part of the demos. On the other hand, citizenship is often limited by an implicit “capacity contract” to those with sophisticated cognitive and linguistic capacities to engage in rational political deliberation, thereby excluding children, people with cognitive disabilities, and animals, who are relegated to a nebulous (and neglected) status of wardship. This chapter explores this tension between these two accounts, and argues that we should abandon the capacity contract as both theoretically arbitrary and politically pernicious. Citizenship should include all members of society, and this in turn requires new models of (interdependent) agency that enable all members to participate in shaping the society and laws by which they are governed.

We introduce the fermion non-universality into the little Higgs models SU (5)/ SO (5), SU (6)/ Sp (6) and study the phenomenology of the new models. We find that if we change the transform property of the observed fermions under the extended [ SU (2)× U (1)]2, the cancellation of the one-loop quadratically divergent correction to the Higgs mass arising from gauge bosons will not be changed, whereas the phenomenology at W-pole, Z-pole and low q2 will be changed.

Any system for natural language processing must be based on a lexicon. Once a model has been defined, there is the problem of acquiring and inserting words. This task is tedious for a human operator; on the one hand he must not forget any of the words, and on the other the acquisition of a new concept requires the input of a number of parameters. In view of these difficulties, research work has been undertaken in order to integrate pre-existing “paper” dictionaries. Nevertheless, these are not faultless, and are often incomplete when processing a very specialized technical field. We have therefore searched to mitigate these problems by automating the enrichment of an already partially integrated lexicon. We work in a technical field on which we have gathered different sorts of texts: written texts, specialist interviews, technical reports, etc. These documents are stored in an object oriented database, and form part of a wider project, called REX (“Retour d’EXpérience” in French, or “Feedback of Experience” in English). Our system, called ANA, reads the documents, analyses them, and deduces new knowledge, allowing the enrichment of the lexicon. The group of words already integrated into the lexicon form the “Bootstrap” of the discovery process of new words: it collects the instances of the different concepts thought to be interesting, in order to gather the semantic information. A special module makes it possible to avoid an explosion of the size of the database. It is responsible for forgetting certain instances and maintaining the database in such a way that the order in which the texts are introduced bears no influence.

The Łódź underground had emerged from the punk aesthetic, yet it absorbed successive genres surprisingly quickly: hardcore, industrial, later also, among others, techno and rave. It utilized diverse forms of expression: most of all sound, but also projections, site-specific actions, graphic design or fashion. The article, drawing from the memories and output of several most important participants of the movement, poses the question, in what way the underground so easily absorbed new genres and aesthetic patterns on the one hand, while on the other – it remained so strongly separate. The separation is revealed in the tension between experiencing new, experimenting musical and aesthetic trends, and the overwhelming everyday life of the post-industrial city. This tension was the reason why the underground movement was so intensely performative in its character, in which new knowledge and new inspirations were mostly created in action.

This paper describes Reduced Order Modeling (ROM) in Fluid Structure Interaction (FSI) and discusses Proper Orthogonal Decomposition (POD) utilization. The ROM method was selected because its performance in fluid mechanics. The principal problems of its application in FSI are due the space character of the modes resulting from the POD whereas domains are mobile. To use POD in moving domain, a charateristic function of fluid is introduced in order to work on a fixed rigid domain, and the global velocity (fluid and structure) is studied. The POD modes efficiency is tested to reconstruct velocity field in one and two-dimensional FSI case. Then reducing dynamic system using POD is introduced in moving boundaries problem. In addition, the one dimensional case of Burgers equation coupled with spring equation is tested.

The results of experimental studies with a laser strainmeter and a multichannel automated geoacoustic rock pressure control system “PROGNOZ ADS” aimed at identifying the nature of the effect of deformation waves from distant earthquakes on the geodynamic activity of the monitored rock mass are presented. The quantitative and energy characteristics of geoacoustic emission before and after the arrival of deformation waves in the controlled rock mass are analyzed. The analysis performed indicates a trigger mechanism of the influence of a distant earthquake on the geodynamic activity of the rock mass. It is noted that the direction of arrival of the deformation wave is an essential factor in the intensification of geodynamic activity in the rock mass. The experiments also revealed the characteristics of rock burst precursors when registering deformation waves in the low-frequency range.

In mechanical engineering, the possibility of developing conceptual designs before building a prototype makes the process faster, more flexible and at a lower cost, enabling various tests, changes and improvements in the initial project. The construction of radio controlled aircraft is interesting for the technological growth of the engineering area, and competitions such as the one promoted by SAE Aerodesign enable the development of multidisciplinary projects involving various skills and students from different courses making them exercise their entrepreneurial skills and acquisition of new knowledge. This work aimed to elaborate a conceptual design of an aircraft based on the requirements defined by the SAE Brazil Aerodesign 2020 competition regulations, as well as its structural and aerodynamic analyses. After preliminary studies of the regulations and results from the winning teams of the last competitions, the parameters were defined and the conceptual project was elaborated and the preliminary structural and aerodynamic analyses were performed. With these results it was possible to define the design of the radio controlled aircraft meeting the requirements of the SAE Brazil Aerodesign competition for regular class, enabling the construction of the prototype and the start of the first competition team at ISECENSA
