The results of crack formation monitoring in metal structures of BelAZ heavy dump trucks during their operation at Kuzbass open-casts are given in the article. Possible causes and areas of the crack-like defects formation during operation of heave dump trucks at depths greater than 300 m are considered. The assembly units and elements of heave dump trucks and the areas of the highest total stresses are determined by solid modeling, strength analysis and monitoring of the condition of metal structures under production conditions. The law of crack length development in the areas of the transaxle-housing component and the fastening of the hydraulic cylinder depending on the number of loading cycles is established. The stresses dependence arising in the structural elements of heavy dump trucks during operation under various loads, on the number of loading cycles to failure, is presented.

Reducing the costs of the transport component, reaching up to 50% or more of the total cost of the mined coal, is an urgent task that does not require additional confirmation. Since the development of measures to improve the purely technical indicators of motor transport at open-pit mines is beyond the scope of the general study, we will limit ourselves to the search for technological solutions that can have a positive impact on the overall cost of production. This may include, for example, the search for solutions to reduce the duration of the transport cycle and optimization of its components. It is also necessary to study the possible changes in the indicators of the transport technology of open-pit mining when using classic open-pit dump trucks and autonomous heavy platforms (unmanned open-pit haul trucks). The article presents an analysis of existing technical and technological solutions and research on the use of unmanned transport technologies. It is established that the parameters of transport technology will change to some extent with the introduction of unmanned heavy platforms, which will inevitably lead both to the correction of the existing regulatory documentation, and a possible revision of the classical postulates of open-pit mining.

The purpose of this article is to develop and substantiate rational designs of slope hoisting systems for dump trucks in the open pit mines. In order to reduce the time losses associated with idle mileage in the transport cycle, it is proposed to use the slope hoisting plants only for hauling down the empty trucks. The basic arrangements of slope hoisting systems have been analyzed. A rational field of using them has been determined. The lack of experience in operation of slope hoisting systems with multi-rope friction winders, the possibility of reducing a friction ratio due to freezing and wetting the rope leave no chance to recognize this technical solution to be reliable. The article presents the results of the design study and determination of parameters of a hoister with a reeving system of suspension of one platform to haul down the 130-ton trucks. The developed hoisting plant consists of the main parts as follows: two 1-65.6/0.8 single-drum hoisters; a platform for transporting the truck; a headframe for placing the deflection sheaves; two deflection sheaves; two inclined rail tracks to move the platform. The article proposes the new technical solutions for hoisting plants with two platforms, which are alternately used for hauling down the empty trucks. The developed technology promotes improvement of the operational performance of dump trucks in the open pit mines.

Abstract The expense of restoring of excavators cutting bodies is increasing these days in the Most Basin area, primarily the replacement of tooth because of abrasion expense. The main reason is the complicated geological situation of overburden rocks, first of all the occurrence of sands and hard structures in the overburden cuts rocks in the deep horizons of open pit mines. Description of the first part of the strength analysis and applicability of 3D models of the tooth serial number 2673 and the tooth ESCO Super V39VYH with application of finite element method (FEM) is the main topic of this article. This research is the stage of the project based on optimisation of the shape and primarily the material used during manufacturing of the mining and ground machines cutting bodies in concrete mining conditions. The research is going on with application of new knowledge in the field of material engineering, metallurgy, cryogenic and nanotechnology. The main target is the increasing of mining process efficiency and the mining machines key node lifetime. Research of the excavator tooth parameters described in this article is very important part of the research.

Chernogosky open pit mine integrates truck-and-shovel system of mining with overburden rehandling to internal dump with a set of walking excavators for rehandling of overburden to mined-out area of the pit. It is possible to improve efficiency of stripping in the conditions of Chernogorsky OPM by reducing percentage of stripping with more expensive handling system. The relevant research and solutions to this effect are presented in this article. Comparative characterization of mining conditions and parameters of mining systems applied is given for open pit mines Chernogorsky, Turnui, Nazarovsky, Vostochno-Beisky and Izykh. The comparative analysis points at the need to account for difficulty of mining and process sites in comparison of equipment productivity. High concentration of mining machines, which is conditioned by narrow mining front and simultaneous operation of five faces, as well as blasting operation implemented every 1-2 days, are recognized as the main constraints of excavator capacity in mining with direct dumping in Chernogorsky open pit mine. The management and engineering solutions implemented in the mine and resulted in higher efficiency of draglines are described.

Uniform schedule maintenance of mining and haulage machines is one of the key conditions for increasing productive time of maintenance personnel and decreasing monthly average servicing time. Currently, Russian mines infringe regulated maintenance schedule aimed to improve output per shift. The loss of time of maintenance personnel and equipment as a consequence maintenance irregularity is never assessed. This article presents assessment results on maintenance schedule uniformity in terms of dump trucks BelAZ-7513 and BelAZ-7530 at Chernogorsky open pit mine, SUEK-Khakassia. A variant of calculation of time loss owing to inconsistent maintenance schedule for dump trucks is proposed. The loss of time by maintenance personnel and by mining/haulage machines is assessed. The fleet of dump trucks BelAZ-7513 and BelAZ-7530 is analyzed depending on overtime of operation between maintenance periods. It is recommended to improve uniformity of maintenance schedule for mining and haulage equipment.
