BACKGROUND: Aircraft maintenance and repair are critical tasks in the aviation industry for improved aircraft service and safety. Many articles and reports describe personnel factor and skill issues contribute to many aircraft incidents. Aircraft maintenance personnel needs to level up their skill set to match with task requirements in the setting of Industry Revolution 4.0. OBJECTIVE: The aim of this paper is to investigate document set that describe human errors and skill mismatch as a human factor in aircraft incidents and problems. It also discusses on the findings and management of the aircraft maintenance skill issues. METHODS: The study uses a document analytics tool to assess a set of online articles that discuss aircraft maintenance incidents and skill mismatch issues. The experiment is divided into four (4) modules: I collection of online articles and reports, (ii) document pre-processing, (iii) text analytics, and (iv) visualisation. RESULTS: The experiment’s results show that the majority of documents discuss aircraft maintenance, skill mismatch, and training gaps. CONCLUSION: We can conclude that the document dataset primarily discusses aircraft maintenance and skill set issues using the document analytics. Consequently, the management of aircraft maintenance workforce skill set issues by having initiatives for upskilling and reskilling Furthermore, firms should foster a culture of continuous learning and develop a mindset among their employees that allows them to adapt to new technologies and information in aircraft maintenance.

Abstract In order to meet the requirements of the operation and maintenance personnel for the power metering system software, when updating the software version, they can independently, quickly and effectively control the quality of the software, an intelligent test platform is designed. Based on the platform, the software operation and maintenance personnel can simply select the corresponding records from the test scripts, test cases and automatic test tools in database debugged by the third-party test team, create the test plan, click the execute button, the platform will automatically connect the selected test tool, intelligently generate a set of executable command lines, to complete the functionality or performance test of the software using the selected test script and test case, and to create the reports of software defects, then a software development team repairs the defects and then the personnel performs regression testing until the new version meets the requirements.

Abstract When the operation and maintenance station performs cable maintenance, installation measures, etc., due to the lack of direct and effective tools, and the complicated wiring of the operation and maintenance station equipment, the wiring diagram is inconsistent with the actual situation, which brings risks to the removal of waste cables. As an indispensable safety tool in the power industry, the cable identification device is an important means to ensure the safety of maintenance personnel. In view of the current situation, this paper analyzes the electric field around the cable line of the operation and maintenance station, and simplifies the simulation of the line, and proposes a secondary cable identification device based on the principle of electromagnetic induction, which can quickly identify the target cable, which greatly improves the cable identification performance. Efficiency reduces the time for cable identification and improves safety.

Abstract The digitally simulated UHVDC system provides an all-round, full-process, and full-scenario high-fidelity training and teaching platform for the switching operation of the UHVDC system, which can fully meet the training requirements of the operation and maintenance personnel of the converter station. In order to solve the problem of inaccurate evaluation due to the existence of multiple operation procedures for an operation target, an improved digital simulation system based on multiple adaptive evaluation algorithms was designed: the teacher uses a modular combination method to generate a standard operating procedure as the main line, and then uses the trainee’s simulated operating procedure as a supplement to jointly form a standard answer to adapt to the different operating procedures of the same operating task for the trainees. Based on this system, it can solve the problem of inaccurate evaluation caused by millions of answers in the simulation operation evaluation process. It provides fast, efficient and accurate evaluation results for the digital simulated UHVDC system switching operation procedure.

Impatience characteristics are an important factor to be considered in the defense field, which is sensitive to time, but there are not many cases applied. In addition, due to the difficulty of analysis that must consider various probabilistic factors (breakdown/maintenance distribution, impatience characteristics, etc.), military decision makers consider only simple data (number of occurrences per year, maintenance time, etc.) Therefore, in this study, a model capable of analyzing the performance of the emergency maintenance system for determining the appropriate size and organization of military and civilian maintenance personnel was presented in consideration of impatience characteristics and probabilistic factors. And through numerical analysis, the appropriate size of the military and civilian emergency maintenance teams was analyzed. This study is significant in that it can improve readiness of operational power and prevent waste of defense budget through efficient operation of the military's emergency maintenance system.

The purpose of this project is to develop processes for defect control in Malaysian public buildings. As a result, two objectives were established to achieve the goal: the study of defect management principles and analysis of defect management principles implementation levels in public building maintenance practises. Three local governments in the state of Selangor were the subjects of case studies. Using a systematic interview process, three building maintenance personnel were interviewed. Overall, the findings of this study revealed that each case study utilised defect management principles in a distinctive method. Despite the management and technical constraints, they are nevertheless able to manage the fault effectively.
