This paper presents the research results of the pulp movement process along the extraction chamber bottom to the suction pipe of the pulp lifting device in case of downhole hydraulic mining the volcanic tuff-stone. The washout process and hydraulically operated transportation of the tuff-stone hydraulic mixture, when forming the extraction chamber, have been studied under various conditions and methods of exposure. As a result, the dominant parameters have been determined influencing the hydrodynamic washout technology as well as tuff-stone hydraulic mixture lifting to the alluviation map. The dependences have been substantiated of the washout process performance and transportation capacity of the hydraulic mixture flow on the determined parameters. To calculate the process of pulp flow-over along the extraction chamber bottom to the intaking hydraulic elevator headwall, the systems of equations have been determined based on the modelling the movement of tuff-stone hydraulic mixture along the extraction chamber bottom during hydraulic washout. The dependences of the contact strength of the tuff-stone samples mined by downhole method on the time spent in water are presented, resulting in determination of the tuff-stone weakening coefficient and the degree of its saturation with water.

Graph-based modeling of planetary gears was applied in the presented research work for their synthesis. The tailored Hsu and contour graphs were used. Graphs encode the structure (layout) of a planetary gear and upon them - the systems of equations can be generated. These systems enable determination of rotational velocities of planetary gear elements. The method is algorithmic and simple. It allows for an easy comparison of different design solutions and selection of the most appropriate one. The list of the possible modes of operation for an exemplary planetary gear is also provided in the paper.

Determination of material removal rate (MRR), tool wear rate (TWR) and hole taper (Ta) is a challenging task for manufacturing engineers from the productivity and accuracy point of view of the symmetrical and nonsymmetrical holes due to hole sinking electro discharge micro machining (HS-EDMM) process. Thus, mathematical models for quick prediction of these aspects are needed because experimental determinations of process performances are always tedious and time consuming. Not only prediction but determination of optimum parameter for optimization of process performance is also required. This paper attempts to apply a hybrid mathematical approach comprising of Back Propagation Neural Network (BPNN) for prediction and Grey Relational Analysis (GRA) coupled with Principal Component Analysis (PCA) for optimization with multiple responses of HS-EDMM of Invar-36. Experiments were conducted to generate dataset for training and testing of the network where input parameters consist of gap voltage, capacitance of capacitor and the resulting performance parameters MRR, TWR and Ta. The results indicate that the hybrid approach is capable to predict process output and optimize process performance with reasonable accuracy under varied operating conditions of HS-EDMM. The proposed approach would be extendable to other configurations of EDMM processes for different material.

Research of ABS and PP were mixed design, preparation and formulation of gold for the production process, performance test. Discussed in PP - g - MAH as computerize of cases, in the process of ABS blended with PP, ABS/PP blend formulas and the determination of process parameters is analyzed. Through performance test and analysis different composition ratio of computerize on the ABS/PP alloy performance impact. Finally concluded that, in the ABS/PP/PP blend - g - MAH, when PP-g-MAH is 4, 16 for PP, the impact of the blend with good performance, thermal deformation temperature is increased.

An integrated, quantitative method is described for the determination of chlorophylls and chlorophyll degradation products in freshwater phytoplankton and sediments. Prior to extraction, algal samples were concentrated by filtration through glass fiber filters while sediment samples were lyophilized. All materials were extracted in a mixture of acetone, methanol, and water (80:15:5) by ultrasonication in a glass extraction chamber refrigerated at −10 C. Extracts were filtered through solvent-resistent membrane filters, rather than centrifuged, and then fractionated without prior drying by reverse-phase thin-layer chromatography on oil-impregnated layers of kieselguhr G. Using three chromatographic systems consisting of different developing solvents and oil phases (triolein, parrafin oil, and castor oil), rapid, artefact-free separations of chlorophylls a, b, and c and 18 of their derivatives were obtained. Individual pigments were estimated by direct, in situ thin-layer scanning with a filter fluorometer. The sensitivity and reproducibility of the procedure are ca. 2 ng and 11%, respectively. In routine operation, the method is fast and relatively simple, a complete analysis being accomplished in 1.5 hr.

AbstractThe paper deals with the determination of strength of laminar ceramics by mechanical tests in bending and contact modes. The bending and contact modes are simulated by the four-point bending test, and by single-cycle contact test using rollers or spheres, respectively. In general, the determination of strength of ceramic materials results from statistical methods which are usually represented by the Weibull analysis. The Weibull analysis comprises the determination of the characteristic strength
