The aim of the article is to define hyssop (Hyssopus officinalis) ‘Markiz’ cultivar capacity parameters aimed at recultivating degraded soils, alkali soils, sloping lands, local landscaping of technologically polluted areas, which will promote improvement of anthropogenically transformed ecosystems. To implement such practical measures comprehensive approach should be used while selecting agronomic measures for growing crops by applying fertilizers (N60P60 broadcast, N30P30 broadcast + N30P30 with irrigation water during boot stage) and retaining soil moister per 30–40 cm depth on the level of 80–70–70% MHC. In these circumstances, stable agrophytocenosis is formed with optimal plants capacity parameters and crops of dry floral materials at the level of 52.6–53.7 c/ha. After the first mowing at the end of June, shoots are growing and flowering during the last August decade and beginning of September. However, phytomass yield is twice lower compared to the first mowing.

The article deals with the influence of structural and technological parameters of sprinklers and terrain on the uniformity of irrigation water distribution in the field. They are given characteristics of developed and introduced in manufacture in the  Saratov State Vavilov Agrarian University with LLC “Meliorative machines” of the modern domestic wide-cut sprinklers “Kuban-LK1M” (Cascade) and  “CASCADE”, as well as the results of experimental studies of operation of machines for irrigation areas with difficult terrain. The data of pressure changes along the water pipeline depending on the terrain slopes are presented. The distribution of the rain layer under the machine spans for the modes of motion of 20  and 40% is obtained. The influence of the terrain and speed of movement of the machine on the efficiency ratio of irrigation is given. The results of tests of sprinklers with frequent placement of sprinklers and pressure regulators are presented. Ways to increase the uniformity of irrigation by sprinkler machines on slope lands are outlined.

The improving investment climate objective requires a comprehensive approach to the regulatory framework enhancement. Policy Framework for Investment (PFI) is a significant OECD’s investment tool which makes possible to identify the key obstacles to the inflow foreign direct investment and to determine the main measures to overcome them. Using PFI by Russian authorities would allow a systematic monitoring of the national investment policy and also take steps to improve the effectiveness of sustainable development promotion regulations.

At the stage of water treatment for irrigation systems, the efficiency capture coarse and fine mechanical impurities, as well as oil products and organic compounds affects the reliability of the equipment of the irrigation network and the safety of energy exchange processes in irrigated agricultural landscapes. The violation of work irrigation system can cause disruptions in irrigation schedules of agricultural crops, crop shortages, degradation phenomena on the soil and ecological tension. For the combined irrigation system, a water treatment unit has been developed, representing a hydrocyclone apparatus with a pipe filter in the case. For the capacity of 250 m3/h the main geometrical dimensions of hydrocyclone have been calculated. To organize the capture petroleum products and organic compounds, it has been proposed a modernization of a hydrocyclone unit, consisting in dividing the cylindrical part of the apparatus into two section. The first is section is for input irrigation water, the second one is for additional drainage of clarified irrigation water after sorption purification by the filter, placed on the disk and installed coaxially with the drain pipe and the pipe filter.

The article describes content of original and relevant but virtually forgotten thesis of V.V. Voronov on lighting of production site interiors by means of overhead natural (using three types of skylights) and artificial illumination, in order to elaborate scientific methodology for architectural design of more qualitative luminous environment on the basis of comprehensive approach and enhanced criteria framework of its evaluation using light engineering parameters. The thesis is unique in terms of the scope and quality of field and laboratory observations which are reflected not only in the text but also in the graphical attachments, namely photos, figures, schemes, drawings, charts, nomograms, and diagrams accompanied by specific measured or calculated parameters. The first part of the thesis contains theoretical basics and results of field observations conducted by different methods. This second part is the exposition of chapter 3 of the V.V. Voronov’s candidate thesis (1985). It describes the methodology for and the results of the experiments by means of planar and volumetric light simulation using the architectural lighting simulating assembly (chamber) which were conducted in MARKHI in 1970–1985.
