Ba 1-x SrxTiO3(x=0.6 to 0.9 interval of 0.1) ceramics were developed by a BT sol-assisted sintering technology with a mixed-phase sintering from the mixture of BT and ST powders synthetized by a solid-state reaction method. The sintering behavior and dielectric properties of the ceramics were investigated. Results show that the sintering activity of the ceramics becomes worse and worse when increased the strontium content, and the sintering condition have a remarkable effect on the density of the ceramics. Dense ceramics were obtained when sintered at 1280°C for 8h with a relatively density of above 94%. The composition had a strong effect on the dielectric properties, while the sintering schedule had a little influence on the dielectric temperature spectrum of the BST ceramics. The Ba 1-x SrxTiO3(x=0.9) ceramic with dielectric constant~335, loss tangent~0.000625 at 1.85 GHz and 20°C, and good temperature stability of dielectric constant above the room temperature is attained.

With the miniaturization of electronic products, the portability and the critical need of clean energy for environment have led to the development of lead-free electroceramics. In this work, lead-free dielectric ceramics of 0.94Na[Formula: see text]Bi[Formula: see text]TiO3–0.06BaTiO3 (NBT–0.06BT) are synthesized by wet solid-phase method. The effects of calcination temperature on phase structure, morphology, densification behavior and dielectric properties are investigated. The XRD results indicate that all samples demonstrate typical diffraction peaks of perovskite structure. The SEM and dielectric analytical results show that high-performance dielectric property of NBT–0.06BT ceramic with dense microstructure and appropriate grain size can be achieved when the calcination temperature is appropriate.

Ba 0.985 Bi 0.01 TiO 3- Ba 0.9955 La 0.003 TiO 3 fine-powders were synthesized by two-step soft chemistry method. Phase analysis and microstructure evaluation conducted by X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy confirmed the provskite structure of the ceramic grain. Different sintering temperatures were considered to optimize the density and dielectric properties. The maximum dielectric constant decreased first, and then increased before dropping again, reflecting the change of relative density. Samples sintered at 1270°C exhibited the best temperature stability due to composition inhomogeneity and compact properties. The dielectric properties of the sample sintered at 1270°C were: ε = ~8,960, tan δ < 0.28, ΔC/C20° C at -55°C, 110°C and 150°C were -5.2%, 13.8% and -12.8%, respectively.

The sintering temperature of BaTiO3powder was reduced to 950°C due to the Bi2O3-LiF-CaF2addition.Excellent densification was achieved after sintering at 950°C for 10h. The low sintering temperature of newly developed capacitor materials allows a co-firing with pure silver electrodes. The dielectric constant and the temperature stability of the dielectric constant satisfied the X9R standard, which dielectric properties of were ε25°C1115, ΔC/C25°C±12% (55~200°C), tanδ1.5% (25°C).

BST/PLT composite thick films with various content of PbO-B2O3 glass additive from 5mol% to 25mol% were successfully prepared by screen-printing the paste onto alumina substrates. XRD, SEM and impedance meter were used to analyze the phase structures, morphologies and dielectric properties of the thick films. The results showed that the BST phase has no interaction with PbO-B2O3 glass in the composite thick films at 750 oC. Diffusion between PLT phase and PbO-B2O3 glass phase occurs and the c axis of PLT phase in thick films reduces slightly. The high infiltration between the glass phase and particles densify the composite thick films and the uniform microstructure can be obtained in the thick films with PbO-B2O3 glass additive content of 10mol%. Good temperature stability of dielectric properties is achieved with the 25mol% content of PbO-B2O3 glass additive and the variance of the relative dielectric constant in the temperature range between 0oC and 300oC is 15%.
