For the guidance problem of multiple missiles attacking a maneuvering target simultaneously in plane, a novel fixed-time distributed cooperative guidance law with impact angle constraint is designed in this paper. The design process of distributed cooperative guidance law can be roughly divided into two parts. First, based on the nonsingular terminal sliding mode control, a cooperative guidance law on the line-of-sight (LOS) direction is developed, which can guarantee that all missiles hit the maneuvering target simultaneously. Second, another guidance law in normal direction of the LOS direction is designed to achieve the fixed-time convergence of LOS angular rate and LOS angle. Finally, numerical simulations verify the effectiveness of the proposed cooperative guidance law for different engagement scenarios.

To intercept the maneuvering target through multimissile cooperation, predefined-time cooperative guidance (PTCG) law is presented with constraints including the impact time and the line-of-sight (LOS) angle. In order to achieve simultaneous interception, we propose a PTCG law in the LOS direction based on a predefined-time consensus protocol, which guarantees the achievement of consensus on each missile’s impact time within the predefined time. Furthermore, to ensure the predefined-time convergence of the LOS angle and the predefined-time convergence of the LOS angular rate, a PTCG law with a fixed-time disturbance observer (FxTDO) is presented in the normal direction of the LOS. Compared with the traditional finite-time or fixed-time cooperative guidance laws, the proposed PTCG law predefines the upper bound of the settling time as an explicit parameter. Finally, the simulation results of the PTCG law verify the efficiency of the proposed method.

In order to overcome the drawbacks of the convergence time boundary dependent on tuning parameters in existing finite/fixed-time cooperative guidance law, this paper presents a three-dimensional prescribed-time pinning group cooperative guidance scheme that ensures multiple unpowered missiles to intercept multiple stationary targets. Firstly, combining a prescribed-time scaling function with pinning group consensus theory, the prescribed-time consensus-based cooperative guidance law is proposed. Secondly, the prescribed-time convergence of the proposed pinning group consensus-based cooperative guidance law proves that the convergence can be achieved at a specified time, regardless of initial conditions and parameters. Furthermore, the design steps including two stages of the proposed guidance law are given for engineering application. Extensive simulations are carried out in three cases to verify the properties. Simulation results show the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed prescribed-time consensus-based cooperative guidance scheme.
